I had no idea they were speaking with a British accent. This is meant to make you guys think because some people are so anti-gun but what if you signed the papers to ban guns throughout America like they did in England and Australia then at that very moment you need a gun to protect your family then the liberal minded parents would realize how really stupid they were to be anti gun meanwhile another American families who have guns and are Pro-gun law abiding citizens for self defense purposes only and once a year go deer hunting, Their son comes running into his parents bedroom " Dad !!!! Mom !!!!! Look outside !!!! The bad guys are here !!!! " The father automatically gets up and looks in the window carefully then rushes to the gun safe and the mom gets the kids while the Dad and the son with guns in hand goes downstairs and gunfire erupts and the bad guys are killed. The dad and the son may be wounded in the battle but the mom and the kids are safe then after the gun battle at their house they walk to the another liberal minded family's house they walk dreading what has just happened and walk through the liberal minded's family house through the bloody carnage of what is left of that family, just total annhilation and the pro-gun father remembers having so many conversations with his friend who is so vehemently anti-gun is on the floor dead bullet riddled or beheaded with pain in his face, they go upstairs and they see the phone hanging by the cord and not too far from there lays the hand of a dead woman's body obivously brutally beaten and raped, there are bullet holes in the children's heads from the Al Qaeda terrorists then you would be just even more angry at the terrorists and the Liberal Establishment and go on to fight the War on Terror in America's streets engagning in famous battles as well as the gunbattles that do not make the nightly 6 o' clock news as America's soul struggles to be set free from Al Qaeda and the Liberal Establishment that has tried so hard to sell out the American family, dumbing down our schoolkid's education , encourage more Americans to engagne in behavoirs that are so immoral and sinful in God's eyes and many different things. The one thing I do know is America will win the war on terror for sure. Please Remember the Liberal Establishment is the Enemy of America.

Not all of us "liberals" are against guns. If they were abolished, I'd use dental floss to slit these guys throats, one bloody Brit at a time and send their bodies back to Buckingham Palace with my best regards.

On a more serious note, there would be a way to get each one away from the other so that one by one, each would be choking on their puke, wishing they hadn't broken in.

Dental floss may work but go that deep? I don't think so and a gun is much better. In order to stop a bad guy, You would need steel fine razor toothed garrotte that you can find in military survival kits. Look at the garrotte to the right.



Really, you want to go with a gun or a knife for in self defense. A gun is much better in these situations. It is not like in the Hollywood movies. It is fast, dirty and one of you will be dead forever. There is really no room for mistakes. That house will turn into a kill or be killed environment if the Al Qaeda terrorists broke down the door. These very bad boys do not play around at all.

I pray you never have to be in that situation and the garrotte has many another good uses such as cutting branches off a tree for a warm fire from the cold weather. Many good things in the survival kit. This one is British. I would get both British and U.S. survival kits. They can come in handy if you go deer hunting and get lost in the woods for the night.

Al Qaeda terrorists backed by U.N. troops and various Arabic countries that will participate in attacking the USA which is entirely possible and very logical given that the combined arabic countries military's might plus those who are backed by the UN could do this. While it is good to be concerned about terrorism, chemical attacks that is breathed in the air etc. You have to not lose focus of the smaller details or the bigger details and keep both the smaller and the big picture in mind and go with the " what if " scenarios etc. Run them through your mind and I am sure you could come up with some pretty scary ideas and how to confront the situation and stop terrorists dead in their tracks, solve the problems and take preventive measures etc. I know it sucks to think of these things but these things are good to think about once in a while for self defense and survival purposes to see another day of sunlight if things worsen to that point and I pray that never is the case but the key here is preparation, learning how to live safely etc.

Normal people do not use garrottes as a mean of self defense in a civilian environment, usually civilians will use their hands to choke the bad guy or put the bad guy in a neck breaking snap motion in order to save their own lives and stop the bad guy in self defense if the situation becomes so serious that it is unfortunately necessary to end the bad guy's life in self defense.

Whoa easy there Pek1, These days the Brits are our allies. We don't live in the Revoultionary War days with George Washington as our U.S. President and proper ladies, gentlemanly manners in the Victorian Era with nice houses, the wartime real life and death drama that enveloped the whole nation between Americans and the Brits on the battlefield. American Churches that used to be a nation of heavy prayers and enter into serious fastings. This is 2006 okay ..... We are facing far more a deadly enemy which are Arabic terrorists and the UN. We will kick their ass time and time again. We do need to bring back the good qualities of time honored America like going to church and doing what is right as you used to be a church pastor yourself.

Home invasions do happen. Not necessarily terrorist attacks but your "everyday" criminals do invade homes, looking for drugs, valuables, revenge, whatever.

Dental floss may work ...Really, you want to go with a gun or a knife for in self defense....

For home defense against invasion, a gun is best. If you are thinking of garroting or strangling someone from behind, that is not a good "defensive" move. You would have to be able to quietly sneak up and have an element of surprise. That's not the usual scenario in a home invasion. Also, for strangling or stabbing, you have to be in very close proximity to the attacker. Not good. It's best to stop the attacker before he gets within arm's reach.

Home defense does NOT mean training everyone in your family to become commandoes, or amateur Steven Segals.
