Some people cant help it,,I found someones wallet dropped at the gas station and it had over $200 in it.I took the $200 out paid for the gas dropped in the nearest mail box.I just cant help it its bonus money to me! Someone from texas drove all the way to florida.Name on License is Jonathan Weston Bush. I wonder hes related to the President?

Ha I would return to the owner without taking the money. That how honest I am and not only that I have a son that I want to teach him to be honest not like his dad. :ugh3:

I think the fact that you did that, and are now bragging about it is disgusting and despicable. I would return the money, no matter how insignificant the amount. The only time I would ever keep money is if it happened to be lying in the middle of the street/floor and there was no one around.

Sounds like something Ravensteve would have done.

Listen Buck, Make sure I never catch you near my purse.

If I were you, I would have took that wallet with 200.00 cash to the nearest police department.

Watch out for the nasty karama! I strongly believe in it!! I'm too chicken to take that kind of advantage! If it were your money.. would you want somebody to be honest with your wallet? think about it!

I am with you. I sometimes found money on the ground or road and I would pick it up since no one claim it and didnt have a name on it. But It is only a small amount of money that I found. Nothing big.

Regardless of the name, Buckdodgers, I would have returned it, via certified mail . . . all of the money. I also would have called information in their home city and called their home, by chance some relative of theirs was there to intercept it and give you information, in case they called home.

When I was a room attendant at Holiday Inn in Seattle, a guest who had checked out had lost a contact lens. I found it on the lid of the toilet seat. I put water in a glass and at the end of the day, went up to the front desk and inquired to the people's address. I sent it to them. In response, I received a very nice thank you letter AND a $5 bill. Regardless the amount I spent to send it, I did the honest thing. You did not. Be sure and claim this on your taxes. Why should you be honest, you asked someone else, when the government isn't? You can go to jail, the government cannot. Reason enough?
