If it were possible, most of us would certainly try. Only a complete CLOD would find a wallet and not try to return it. There's more than money in wallets nowadays.

And, to point the finger at others as a way of trying to justify your actions just goes to show how guilty you must feel. "Well, YOU would do it!" How would YOU know what I would do? You don't! And, to blame the government? What does that have to do with anything?

thats really crude.. and thats heartless to do.. you dont know that person, worked so hard to earn $ and make the trip.. maybe hes going to see loved ones who passed on.. or on way to see his daughter or son, that have not see for ages..

But if dollars lay out on ground.. not TAKE OUT FROM WALLET, thats stealing..

you are not honest person .. period.. I would take wallet, either go to police station to ask them take care of it.. or.. go to post office.. to get cerifcated mail. and mail it.

or.. find out if that person have phone number and call to let him know that you have his wallet and expect to get it in the mail.. that will make his day!

Second, stop deflecting this at others. Would I return this? Would I return that? I already told you yes, but that's not the point. The pt is, you're trying to justify your actions, and its not working. Nobody is buying this, Buck. Nobody is gonna side with you and give you the sympathy you're looking for. You are responsible for your own actions, and when you're wrong, you are wrong. You have no excuse for keeping money that doesn't belong to you, especially when the owner can be found.

You were greedy, pure and simple, and no one's going to pat you on the back for that.
 
what if you honest people are stuck in the middle of nowhere on route 66
and your car stopped. Then you walked a mile away to go to the near gas station and found a wallet with $200 in it...
And if the tow trucker said he will charge you for fixing your car for $200,
would you use that money you found or no????

I would probably use that $200 and give it to the tow trucker..
and maybe pay back the $200 to the person who lost his or her wallet.
