Heath doesn't know any better. He was southern educated, if that's what they try and do in their schools in the southern part of the USA, they are still fighting the civil war, so what can you actually expect?
I find the conferate flag repulsive myself and most definately not Christian at all. I doubt his salvation, as Jesus Christ Himself wasn't racist.Since Heath is being a pain in the backside (again), we can all add him to our ignore list if we want to, as he's heading there on mine. I won't put up with any racist garbage from anyone and I don't have to view his racism, as he's doing it on purpose :asshole: and really needs to grow up.

As a Southerner I am ambivalent about the Confederate flag. On one hand, I don't think we should run from the fact that this is a part of our region's history (which I cannot get a time-machine to go back and change, as much as I'd like to). Remember that the Civil War was fought over an issue of states' rights as well as the cultural differences that did, unfortunately, include slavery. Remember also that racism was not and is not exclusive to the South--don't point fingers to us without cleaning up your own house first. (Remember the signs in Northern cities that said "No Irish Need Apply"?)
On the other hand, I understand and respect the feelings of those who see the Confederate flag as a sign of oppression. I do not believe in the terrible abuses that come from racism, wherever I find them in this world, North, South, or otherwise. And I also think it's horrible what modern hate groups have done to disgrace that symbol even further.
So anyway, the Confederate flag issue definitely has two sides.
