Neither of you guys have shown us why you believe these are the "last days." You all sound as bad as those weirdos on the streets wearing signs "The end is coming!"

Jesus Day in Texas? Does that mean that if I'm a Mexican whose name is Jesus, I get a holiday? Jesus Day is an affront to non-Christians. You overly religious people have too much time on your hands to be fighting whether or not Christianity is being fought against.

Heath, a word of advice.

If you get an email, it has the words alert or urgent in the subject line, it has multiple !!!!!, and it says FORWARD, run, don't walk, to SNOPES.com and check it out. Please, don't post or forward anything without checking it out first. You will do yourself and others a big favor. :)
 
I don't know who died and made Snopes the King of Truth, sighhh...
That site just has a pretty decent batting average, that's all, and just like with any other site, you take it with some reservation and a grain of salt.

Well first, you have to KNOW WHAT to look for and you cannot KNOW what to look for unless you have read the scriptures. So after you do then we can discuss the things that are before our faces now. I can use one though to give you something to nibble on........in the last days Men will call evil good and good evil. :)

It is not the be-all end-all site, that's true. But it is a good filter. If in doubt, one should always cross check other sources.

Most times, when I get any email with "urgent, !!!!!, MUST FORWARD," etc., I don't even open it.

That's nice, Penni. Are you sure you're not calling evil evil and good good? Seems to me that no one can agree on what is good or evil, so you just decide what is evil that other people are calling good, and decide what is good that other people are calling evil?

Oh, wait, I get it.

Everyone who disagrees with you is evil, and everyone who agrees with you is good. Makes you wonder if you were right in the first place.

Seriously, no wonder you're banned again. :roll: :lol: This story is old and, not only that, is as fake as a three dollar bill. While you're at it, many people here and elsewhere are "in the know" as far as the government is concerned and what its doing, so you are not all-knowing. As a Christian, can you tell me what Scripture tells us to be? Refer to Matthew 10:16 for the answer.

That's not entirely right. If God really exists and what you say is true, then this affects the whole world... not just this country.

According to the dictionary, Christianity is a cult. It may not seem that way, but it is. The definition of cult is a group of people devoted to beliefs and goals which may be contradictory to those held by the majority of society.

Christianity only accounts for 30% of all religions of the world. If you wanted to use the word "cult" on some people, you might as well use it on those American citizens who are not Christians. However, if you were a Christian and visited China... you would be labeled as a "cult member" since you do not follow their Buddist religion.

So, which religion is the true religion? Maybe, there's not just one God. Maybe, there's more than one God. Maybe, our Christian God met with the Buddist God in a game of poker and decided to create the world for fun. After that happened, a Muslim God saw Earth and asked the Christian God if the Earth could be shared with the Muslims as well. So, we've got a bunch of people who have so-called "Bibles" as proof of their religion and history. Yet, we've got aliens living among us... and religions fanatics refuse to believe it because they are too damn stubborn to be open-minded enough to understand the possibility of aliens. After all, if there were no aliens... why the hell did God create other planets or other galaxies? Why the hell would God create a million suns and only put EVERYONE on one planet which accounts for 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of all planets in the galaxies?

Well, according to a bunch of religious fanatics... the world was going to end within a couple years of the new millienium. It's soon 2006 and nothing has happened yet. People say that Prince Charles is the anti-christ. People say that Hitler was the anti-christ. People say this and that... and many other religious fanatics agree. How do I know you're not doing the same thing? For all we know, the world will end... but not by God... but by aliens taking over our planet... like Independence Day. ;)
 
No, I know when I'm right about these kinds of things because :

A. I have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion that testifies to me of truth and warns me of lies.

B. I have read the scriptures and know what they mean.

C. We are told in the scriptures to look for the signs....so if we are told to look so that we are prepared, then there MUST be something to see!!

I do not claim to have a time frame......we have lots of things to happen yet. LOTS... and they are slowly happening now. I can list a few things if you would like.. but then you would know and you would be looking. Maybe you don't want to know. Maybe I should make you just find out on your own thru reading your scriptures.

There are many people who are anti-Christ (meaning "against Christ"); but there will be only one "Anti-Christ" (meaning "false Christ"). Two different words and definitions.

God designs and creates as He wills. We don't know the "reason" why; it all fits into His divine plan.

I have one opinion. God designed the universe with its millions of stars, planets, and moons for the support of His people on planet earth. Yes, I know this sounds "earth-centric". I don't mean the earth is the physical center of the universe. I mean the earth is the center of God's plan.

All the physical creation works together like a huge, intricate watch, with all the various gears dependent on the others. The different gravitational pulls of each body effect the paths of the other bodies. The moon effects our tides. We use stars for navigation. We can tell time with the position of the sun. We can keep track of the seasons with the phases of the moon. Nothing is without purpose. Even just the simple beauty of a star-lit night, or a romantic full moon has a purpose.

The "heavenly bodies" don't need to be populated by "aliens" in order to be important.

So, does that mean that if aliens are found / discovered / they find us, then that means that you'll have to guess God's plan again? The bible mentions nothing about off-world entities. If they exist, does that mean that Christianity is wrong?

I bet everyone who couldn't face the facts would dismiss the aliens as "Satan's army hoodwinking the good Christians."

Sounds like you may have read Lee Stroebel's book The Case for Christ. That's a point I saw him making.

To me I think the odds of there being other habitable planets are low, but I wouldn't rule it out. It doesn't impact my faith one way or the other if there are other worlds in THIS universe. But I wouldn't be surprised, either, to find out there are whole other universes where God created things differently for variety, where there are other planets with intelligent life...and I'm sure He'd want to redeem that life, too, as well as us. Anyway, nothing science can find will disturb my faith, but only increase the wonder I feel at God's creation. :)
