Do you Think a Condo Association has the Rights to Throw Away Clothes Left In Washing

Seriously? It's like a hand-cranked washing machine? How much fits in there? It looks pretty tiny!

Small loads but it uses no electricity or plumbing.

I got it after Hurricane Hugo. I never want to be caught in a long-term power outage without a way to do laundry.

Google is one of those guys who thinks that running a household and rearing children is easy. In other words, he's delusional.

The great thing about a clothes line is that your clothes actually get to air out. The dryer is hard on clothes and makes them wear out more quickly.

Very interesting. I've never seen anything like that before.

Have you ever slapped your clothes against flat rocks by a river? ;)

This is the best portable washer, take my word on it :)

Very true, Reba!

The last hurricane that left us w/o electricity long term was Hurricane Georges back in 1998 (ironically, my introduction to a cat 2-3 hurricane). The "eye" passed over the Islands just 20 mins from where I live. We were w/o power for 3 wks. However, it was a further few months before everything was restored (meaning our house; drywall, rugs, furniture, ect). We had to completely gut the house and start over.

It took a few years for the landscape of the land to fully recover. I remember us being completely devestated by what we saw and that was NOT a hurricane of the likes of Hugo or Andrew. It really gave me a profound respect for these storms and the destruction they can bring!

We don't live near a river, and there are no rocks in the Lowcountry (not naturally occurring anyway). :giggle:

Where can I find one of those? It'd be great for doing small loads in my bathroom.

I think I got mine from an Amish farm supply place online. It's been several years, so I don't remember exactly.

Edit:

I dug out the instruction book from my "Wonder Wash." Mine is a little different color than the one pfh showed. Mine is a light gray with black specks, kind of granite pattern.

Anyway, the maker is the Wonder Wash Corporation, phone # 602-655-1725.

Amazon has it for $60, and a couple other contraptions that are similar.

How do you get the soap out?
Because it's under pressure, you don't use a lot.

Dump the dirty water out and refill with rinse water. The container tips on the hinges of the stand.

I noticed in the picture of the newer one, it seems to have a drain hose on it.

Edit:

Youtube has examples of how to use it.
