Diversity neighborhoods in your state

I wonder have any of your state/cities have neighborhood that is culturally diverse??

I went to German town something in Columbus Ohio, all houses, and buildings are german style (high crime too)

Here in MN,
Westside AKA District Del Sol (District of the sun in spanish) is where lot of mexicans live....

Frogtown (close to State Capitol) is like chinatown actually businesses are owned by Hmong people

Midway (on University Ave in St. Paul), busineses owned by somalis or african people

On Lake Street in Minneapolis are multi cultural, depend on where on the street, some own by somalis, spanish, hmong people...

If I think of something, i will type more..
 
Although I wouldn't call Utah a diverse state, Salt Lake City does have a section in Taylorsville and West Valley City where it is considered "Little Vietnam." There are many Asian stores here in SLC. Also in West Valley City, there are many Spanish-speaking people.
 
Want to see a city with true diversity?

Go to Toronto in Canada, your eyes will pop out by the sight of diversity alone.
 
Melbourne's famous for its melting pot diversity of population in the city. I love sitting either at Southbank by the Yarra River or at Flinders Station and watching thousands of people mill past me and I try to guess their nationalities and so forth. ;)
Melbourne's a better city than Springvale, a south eastern suburbs where a lot of drug addicts and asians live. A lot of people call that town a 'Ghetto' -- it's one of the poorest sections of Victorian towns. I must agree with that because I've seen countless of heroin addicts roaming the streets in Springvale, either selling smack or shooting up right there on the streets! :shock:
*Shuddering* That's one of the few reasons why I never visit Springvale anymore. A few people I know of, they live there :ugh:.

When I worked at Blockbuster Video, I saw a lot of diversity depending on the locations I worked at.

I remember visiting Toronto and thinking I stepped into China, with all the signs in chinese language only. Whoo
 
Yeah, Melbourne's a diverse city.
However, where I live, the majority of people are white. But in a town such as Footscray, whoo, there are so many asians and africans living there. When you walk in Footscray, you feel like you're the only white person there, seriously! Melbourne does have its own share but most are white anyway. :)

Toronto's indeed more diverse than Melbourne!
 
Indeed Toronto is a true diverse city. I was impressed that some of the Arabic (?) police officers in Toronto were allowed to wear these things on their heads.

Fulton, De Kalb, Cobb, Gwinnett and Clayton counties in Georgia (outside Atlanta) have some of largest diverse communities in the Southeastern United States. The ethic group includes Africans, Hispanics (not just Mexicans), Indians, Canadians, Europeans and some other groups.

S.F I think have alot of diversity but mostly berekley eh.. but yeah more like near where I live in san jose too so.. doesn't bother me it's cool to have diversity neighborhood tho.. ;)
 
Seattle's pretty diverse, but there's alot of white people living here, there's lot of mexicans in south park area, blacks in rainier valley area, tons of whites in north seattle, there's many other races, too. There's also chinatown south of downtown seattle, too. It's a good diverse city, you can see lots of black, white, latinos, etc. etc. mixed up in some parts of the city.
 
back east in Maryland (Montgomery County) it is pretty diverse -- theres a large hispanic (from mostly El Salvador, Honduras and other Central American countries) community along with asian community and others -- where i used to live is fast becoming a hispanic community (theyre moving up from the Takoma Park area and neighboring Prince Georges County) with a diverse mix of other races in the area --
 
Maybe im wrong but i thought Buffalo, NY has the largest ethnic groups in the United States...I didnt think Canada does but maybe it does now since Toronto is real close to Buffalo..
 
here in minnesota.. the sweden towns are linstorm, and few other towns that have swedish native around..
