Thanks for all the PMs, good wishes and sympathies ~ I'm now at StL Lambert International Airport waiting for my flight to be called at 8:40 CST. I will arrive in KC at 9:40 am and I will be in touch via my SK2 until somewhere outside Hays, KS. I will be out of touch then until Saturday morning. I will keep in touch with MizzDeaf, Cheri and TweetyBird through Mom's laptouch during the time I'm out of range.

I am very sorry to hear this. You have my condolonces. I hate that when it happened so close to any holiday. My father passed away 2 days before Christmas 20 years ago.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother *hugs* and have a safe trip to see the family. May she rest in peace.
 
DD - keep yourself warm! There is a silver lining - and that are your true friends and MizzDeaf who love you very much. That is priceless to me. Hope you continue to recover from these times of difficulty!
 
I m sorry heard abt ur sweet grandman who just passed away and on way to be with ur grandpa smile i m sure they are glad see each other again.. and my pray for you right now and t'care of urself

Grandmother has been buried w/ her husband of 67 years and we have said our goodbyes to her. We will stay together as a family one more night before going back home tomorrow.

I'm now near Russell, KS ~ snow drifting across Highway 70. Daddy-O is driving and taking his time. Mom and Auntie stayed behind in Hill City, waiting for the death certificates to arrive so they can close the accounts and finalize transfers of deeds with the lawyer. I have already met with the lawyer earlier this morning to formally end the guardianship I had been under all my life with my grandparents ~ as per my grandmother's wishes.

We will be stopping in Blue Springs, MO, at Sleep Inn overnight and arriving late tomorrow afternoon.

Traffic sucks.
 
We just left Junction City, Kansas. It's snowing harder here. Roads are still slick and snowdrifts are still evident on Highway 70. There's apx another 100 miles to Kansas City. Bbllpptthh.
 
Wow, it must be bad down there with all that SNOW!!...
