Difficult Times

It is a Toyota Corolla - and a good car it was, even with the problems it had. Yes, there is severe structural/body/engine damage and cannot be repaired. And no, it is not worth trying to fix it, even if it could be repaired.

Yeah, I agree with you on that. I knew it is a Toyota Corolla because I used to have one before I got a Honda in PA. It was a good car with high mileage despite it had some problems (I had it fixed, now it got better before I sold it for measly $1,000). I had that car for 8 good years.

I hope idiot's insurance will send you more money to buy another car. The most important of all is you are still alive..that's what it counts the most.

glad to hear ur return safe to home, and ur ok, the vechiles are just fiberglass/metals they just carry us to and fro, its our lives that are irreplaceable, and thats important to us. we're grateful that ur alive. cars, trucks can be replaceable we're not. at least u returned home in one peice!

Wish me luck - I have a doctor appointment today to check my neck and shoulder out...UGH.

She has whiplash in her neck/shouldar and would have PT soon. She doing okay so far. :)

whiplash is bad muscle sprain from car accident or something. It can be hard to cure, sometimes.

It's been confirmed. I have whiplash of the neck and shoulder...*sigh*

I also have to take meds three times a day, for five days... *snore* It sure made me zonk out last night. Today Im drinking coffee by the gallon in order to keep awake.

Also, I checked at the body shop last night - they confirmed that the car is totaled, but we have to wait longer...the other insurance company is not being very forthcoming in admitting that their own insured is at fault, and want to send an adjuster to come out and look at my car...and they say they wont be able to send out someone until after Christmas...oh come on. I'd like to get the car off my personal tax rolls before January 1st so I wont have to pay taxes on that car!!!

I also have to begin physical therapy - the private joke is that I call going to the doctor, dentist, specialist and PT...my BDSM appointment. Why not? It feels like that sometimes to me...urgh.

I also got the police report last night - the implication was clear. The other driver was at fault. Just needed to correct two mistakes - it was marked down that my car was not towed - it WAS towed. I was also marked as a MALE...*checking crotch in pants*...uh huh...I dont think so. Im a FEMALE, period.

*smh*

what a wonderful Christmas season it's been so far...bbllpptthh...Im in my Scrooge mood today.

Got the estimate from the body shop - not good news. It would cost about $3817.35 to repair and they have already valued the car at $4925.00 - the repair cost is more than 75% of the value, which means its totaled.

I did set up a PT appointment on Thursday, December 29th..*sob*...a new BDSM appointment!!!

Anywhere I can run away to and hide from???

Yeah.. hopefully, driver's insurance will give you a check of $$$. If not, you can sue them for damages and medical bills. Dealing with insurance is no fun.

I plan to make sure that the other insurance company PAYS for this!

A chiropractor can fix your neck correctly without a surgery, and he/she needs to see your x-rays first. I read in the brochures about whiplash. If you do not want a chiropractor, a doctor wants you have an surgery. After the operation, you cannot go to a chiropractor because it is done permanently. I encourage you to see a good chiropractor in your area. Please don't make a mistake like "shoot first then ask question."

My mother's friend had a car accident a few years ago, and he decided to have an operation instead of seeing a chiropractor. His doctor implanted some steel plates on his back bone, and the operation was not successful because it still hurt his back. He takes pain killers for rest of his life. I do not want this happen to you. Most chiropractors gives their patients back their normal life.

I hope that your insurance will pay you 100 percent, and even to win a case. I hope that you feel better soon.
