Since, Im on Yasmin Birth Control, I love that because it is very helpful. I used that birth control since I was 18 yrs old but been off and on and off and on with it. But right now, Im on with it because of period, etc like that.. Last time, I used that birth control for a year because of cyst ovary and it did help. Here is the website for that yasmin birth control: http://www.yasmin-us.com/index.htm

So, we can dicussion abt ANY of birth control include sex, what risk for it, condom, etc like that. I would like to seeing anybody to dicussion abt that. :D :ty:

I'm not very good with oral birth control method. I am getting birth control shot, which taken every 3 months to protect me from becoming pregnant. ;)

Why you are having sex before marriage?

BC causes cancer and birth defects.

Because Im adult and its my choose to doing that or not ok? Its not your business.

No, you are very wrong abt Birth Control that causes cancer. I got Cyst in my both ovarys so I went to doctor and she suggested me tot ake birth control because it will help so it HEAL. Birth Control do help cyst to heal. But it dont cause ANYTHING to get cancer... But birth defects, can be if you use birth control for more than 10 years and become 40 years old. You can get birth defects thats it. I used birth control since and I knew, I already asked my doctor ALOT of questions, its very good idea for mostly of women to getting that for good reasons like cyst, protect from getting pregnant, etc like that.

Sure! This shot is taken by a needle in the upper arm or in the buttocks once every 3 months to protect a woman from becoming pregnant. Here's the link: http://kidshealth.org/teen/sexual_health/contraception/contraception_depo.html

Thanks, Cheri! Birth Control Shot sounds more easier than Yasmin Birth Control. Once in three months, Yasmin Birth control must be one pill everyday. Geez! I once tried NUVA ring, it must wear the ring once a month... Different kind of birth control, its awesome to dicussion abt, heh.

wow it very intertesting abt that.. i dont know abt that.. umm, if u use that and can get preg or what??? just wondering abt that..

Tweetybird, it's to help prevent from getting pregnant or help heal cysts and other stuff. :)

You're surely welcome! ;) Yep, It's a lot easier for me because sometimes I missed on taken my pill if done by mouth I cannot afford to be pregnant. I need something that would make it a lot easier for me.

I have friends who take different methods: oral, shot, and patch. One of them is allergic to birth control, so she takes the shots because it's easier on her than the pills. With the pills, her throat swells up, she gets sick, and begins to vomit. When she takes the shots, she gets all blushed up and sick for 30 minutes, then it's gone. She wanted that instead of going through the allergic side effects for over a hour every day.

All types of birth control are pretty much 99.9% effective. There are also a lot of things that can affect the effectiveness. There's smoking, drinking, medication, drugs, etc. St. John's Wort is one example. It's an anti-depressant herbal drug. I have a few friends who still got pregnant while on birth control. Know why? They were also taking anti-depressants. Most of them never told their doctors that they were on anti-depressants because they knew that their doctors would not let them have birth control. The others didn't say anything because they didn't care. Well, look at them today... they've now got kids and have dropped out of school because of it.

For me, I don't really care... as long as she stays committed to it.

You probably had a specific kind of anti-depressant that wouldn't have affected the effects of birth control.

When I was first married I used daily BC pills. In less than a year, I became pregnant, while still taking the pills.

My good deaf friend from Reno was on it for 10 years...her new dr asked her what kind and said shot one...Depo (or whatever) he said NO MORE! It is not safe. FYI! ONly for short term not long term. So she is already off for 2 and half years and now she's pregnant with 4th! So just FYI it is only for short term. I rather oral BC than shot. I will probably get it to regluar my cycle. Damn it...I would stay on for 6 months to 1 year.

One more thing...the shot (depo or whatever) don't agreed with my body. So I stopped after 2 doses of it. I still get my period during Depo which it shouldn't. Oh, well!
