Are you ready for a woman President?

Are you ready for a non-white President?

Would you vote for Condoleezza Rice?

oh god, not that liar...

You know, Arnold Amendment begin to sound good right now... If any democrat candidates does not have any luck (hopefully not because America definitely will get worser if someone else beside Democrat candidate win the election), I would vote for Arnold Schwarzenegger... At least he have the balls and brain to start with.

Don't think that I am anti-female-president guy, I would vote for Hillary but she is not right woman for president, IMHO. Rice isn't either. So I vote a big fat no.

Well....I think I'll vote for Hillary...if she's planning to run for the Presidential office someday! o.o

I vote no, I would like to vote for Hillary Clinton, because she had done so much when she was first lady, I think she would do very well.:)

I heard she was going to run in 2008... I hope so!

Clinton over Rice.

I know, sounds like a gourmet chicken dish of some sort, but the point has been made. :) I don't like Condoleeza Rice at all - and in a two-person race, ya have to admit, Hillary would bury Condi...three times over.

Many different reasons, of course. I do believe that race would come into play, as well as who has the bigger (not necessarily better) public image. Right now, that is Hillary.

Are you saying that Americans will not vote for a black President?

What about black voters?

What did she do while she was First Lady that was good for America?

I would vote for a woman who has the same viewpoint and values on issues that I do. Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice don't have that, so they will not get my vote.

There are several local-race female politicians that I agree with and who would get my vote if they went for higher office. Beyond that, I don't have anyone. Maybe Nancy Farmer if she won Missouri's Senate race, but gah, we got Bond again...

Not speaking personally, here, Reba.

I am saying black is a minority - or is considered one. There are more white voters than black ones. Therefore, when race comes into play, Clinton is more likely to cinch the majority vote for white...there is also, of course, the possibility that some black voters would vote Clinton over Rice, and vice versa. America is a very complex country, and prejudice, sadly, DOES exist.

I understand. :)

Hmmm...interesting. I listen to conservative talk radio programs, and all the white and black callers support Condi. I have not heard any conservative white people say they would vote against Condi because she is black.

I agree with Reba that the winds are blowing this way for now.........

What should I vote here? I´m not American but I beleive Hillary Clinton would be good President. I heard good things about her and think she´s a wonderful lady.

Hillary will be 1st woman in the America history if she win at election in 2008. Why can´t you give her the chance to try it?

i will vote no...

In my own personal belief... Americans are in fear of voting for woman or other races.

I'm not Anti-female.. but I rather vote for a male instead of female just like what the presidents in back druing 1700's 'white man are able to become a president'

Why should they be in fear of voting for a woman or a person of a different race?

If what you say is true, then that is a strong symbol of ignorance. A woman cannot help being a woman because she was born that way, and a black man cannot help being black because he was born that way.

Why punish them?

I wouldn't say ALL Americans are in fear of voting for a woman to become a president, they haven't even gave those women a chance to become one maybe cause they think men are much more smarter than women I dunno but I find that unfair because they can't help it if they were born a female just like I can't help it if I can't hear, but If I want to become a president of the US , then they should vote on who they think would be the best president to run this country instead of judging them on their sex, race, disablity or etc....

I would like to hear more of your honest reason why you think women shouldn't become a president?...

Indeed, why should people (particularly men) be fearful of women becoming Presidents? Take a stroll down the history if you will, and you'll find a list of women who made it as Presidents or Prime Ministers (I.E., Corazon Aquino President of Philippines, 1986-1992. As you know, she was the first woman president elected in Asia. And who would forget Margaret Thatcher, the former Prime minister of the United Kingdom?) Many of them seem to be doing very well, politically.

Women and politics - a list of politically influential women of the last century

I think it is high time our America have a female President for once! ;)

About time to have a Female President ??
NO NO NO NO !!!

We ought to say it's about time to have
a Good President (no matter if it's a male and/or female etc)

How can you tell if she and/or he is a
Good President doing a Good job ?

Condi Rice is a wonderful lady, too. She has already served as a National Security Advisor, and will soon be Secretary of State. She could be the first woman in American history to become President if she wins the election in 2008. She would also be the first black person to become President in the United States. Why can't we give her the chance to try it?
