Man Offended After Finding Curse Words On Drive-Through Receipt
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A California man got more than he bargained for during a recent trip to Burger King -- profanity on his receipt.
"Actually I am embarrassed, it's humiliating," customer Francisco Perez said.
After spending $9.22 on a double Whopper with cheese, onion rings and a small drink at the Arden Way Burger King earlier this week, Perez looked down at his receipt and saw the words "f--- you" on it -- not once, but twice.
"So, I showed the guy and he just kind of laughed," Perez said. "There was no 'Sorry, we'll fix it.'"
The restaurant supervisor confirmed the two employees listed on the receipt work there, but insisted the profanity was not intentional.
Supervisor Blong Xiong said the incident was "not acceptable" and planned to speak with the store manager about it.
Perez still ate his food that day, but said he'll likely never return.
"This is a professional business, and I go get a bite to eat and this is what I get," he said. "I don't find it funny at all."
