No. I'm a reasonable person who doesn't make wild, unsubstantiated statements.
Yes you have..

No, I don't. You don't either. Your statement was the first time I had seen that accusation. I knew the definition of "down-low" but I have never heard or read that accusation made against "most" Christian men.
There are always 'first time' for everything. Why don't you start asking your Christian fellows? You can always read their faces if they are telling the truth or not. I bet more than half of them will fluster.

"We"? Who are "We"? No one that I know. Please don't include me in your group of bigoted ranters.
Sorry, had to use 'we' for more than one person. I see that you don't like what I said.. Finally got a taste of your own medicine?! Now you understand what we gay and lesbians feel about your group of bigoted Christian ranters.

If that's the case, then were do you get your "facts" from? Where do you get your statistics (which I haven't seen you prove yet)?

 Right! Very reliable sources, like I want to go talk to them!

Are you an aspiring comedienne? :D

You are probably scared s*** to find out from the gay prostitutes that I was right all along. Don't be afraid to ask. Go on & ask them.. Just humor me.

So if no one is "admitting" this behavior, where do you get your "MOST" Christians data?
You will get the data if you ask your Christian Fellows.... or if you dare - go ask the gay prostitutes..

Care to back up that accusation with proof?

If not, I'm not going to get into a "yes you did, no I didn't" pissing contest.

Why should I do that? Do you normally ask your friends and acquaintances about their personal sex lives?

"Your group"? Now who is that? See, you did it again. You lumped people together into one stereotyped group.

If you check my posts, you will notice that I've not done that. I don't refer to "you people", and I never state that all homosexual people have the same beliefs and behaviors.

Please check your facts before making accusations.

Believe it or not, I don't personally know any "gay prostitutes". Why should I do your homework for you? If you have some kind of real statistics or research to cite, do it. It was your allegation, so it is up to you to prove it.

Why should I get the "data"? If you want to prove your point, you need to do the research. That's your job.

If I make a wild accusation, I expect to provide my proof. Why should you be an exception?

Misunderstood Bible verses are not "proof".

MOST Christian men are men on the 'down-low' !!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down-low

WHAT?! I doubt this is true. You're correct in the sense that this is prevalent in the black community, but to say that most Christian men are on the 'down low' is being misinformed.

This sounds to me this is something you dug up so you'd have something inflammatory to argue with.

Reba said:
And where did you get that "fact"? If they supposedly are doing this secretly, how did you get the information?

Well, this is partially true. Many men are on the 'down low', but I doubt you can count many Christians among them. Some, probably, but I doubt it's as prevalent as that person is claiming.

Er, put up or shut up. If you make a claim such as the one you made, you are expected to show hard core proof of the ascertation. Otherwise, you're just blowing a lot of hot air.

Btw, why do you choose to argue these points? Defaming certain members of this forum just because you don't like the position they take. And, why argue meaningless points with Reba? I am fairly certain she knows what she's talking about. She disagrees with you. She disagrees with MY postion on gay marriages and the like, too. But, I'm not going to make myself look stupid just to prove the point that I disagree with her. So what? We don't agree. We can still be cordial to one another.

*shrugs* All this blustering is pointless. It's tiring and it doesn't get anybody, anywhere.

Think about it. You're not doing anything, but making yourself look silly.

I'm not sure what u are saying. Yes, I know about jehovah witness teaches about 144000 people go. But it is in Revelation, but misinterpret what 144000 people in the tribes meaning. If that waht u are saying or you didn't know its in there or what.

The 144,000 is the number of those who are saved during the Tribulation (acceptance of salvation).

True and that's who perservere thru Great Tribulation.

Um, back to the topic about the divorce rate being higher in the Bible Belt. :)

FYI: 'Men on the down-low' are not targeted on African-American only.... There's another word.... can be called as 'closeted bisexual'. So there are so many Gay Christians organization / info / etc... They, of course, were either 'men on the down-low' or 'closeted bisexual' at the beginning..... until they finally outed themselves as bisexual or gay.http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=gay+%2F+bisexual+christians&ei=UTF-8&x=wrt So my word "Most Christians are "men on the down-low" still stands. And I would like to add.. 'closeted bisexual', too.

They are just makin' fun of Jesus.

I'll do that on rainy days when I have free time on my hands.

Since there is a very large gay/ lesbian community near where you live. the percentage of your findings would be greater than mine. http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/gayInfo.php?locIndex=13090

Now, I've done my homework. Would that be all, Ms Reba?

Truthfully, there are different spiritual levels who been going thru divorce. Not all are in same level. Like I said, just going to church on sundays and wednesdays but no deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ which affect everything and not only that, there are numbers of ways even try to prevent divorce, but opposite spouse can be stubborn in a way. I watched dr phil yesterday, that the couples marraiage about to shamble bec of cruel mom in law. There's so much different reason of divorce. Its not just church thing, its individuals. Now about blacks issues and gay issue, that's separate. God made different people like black, white, red, yellow. But god set boundaries for sex. Sexual purity is marriage in opposite sex. Does christian live sexual impurity? Yes, they do. Do they feel struggling and feel uncomfortable? Yes, they do. What make them feel that way? The answer, The Holy Spirit. If true believer living deeper in sin, God will give the person attention and will be chastise by Him. Why? Bec His love from danger. In spite about how high divorce rate in "bible belt" doesn't mean anything. Important part is individual. I watched Kay Arthur last night when she received email from a person who was gone thru divorce and living adulterous life, but seeking after godliness, that church have nothing to do with her, bec of it and gossipping was overwhelming. As Kay Arthur said, that church has sin as much. Even tho, she added, that won't give an excuse for living in sin. I agree with her, that's applied to me. Most beautiful way is this, Jesus never will turn His back on you, and I agree that I have sinned, and give my life back to Him. Thru valleys of life, I keep my eyes fix on Him. He knows my weaknesses. I thank Him for what He has done for me and also, His patience with me. It does happen to anyone no matter who you are or what you have done. Jesus is the Living Water, and its free for ALL who comes. He cares.

That link is just a list of search results for "gay / bisexual christians" links. What does that prove? Nothing.

If one of those links has relevant statistics, please post them. I don't have time to check on each of your lists. Like I posted before, I'm not going to do your homework for you.

If you don't have the time to back up your statements with facts, then you shouldn't post them until you do.

Why not?? so that you know I'm not making this up... And yes, I would.
Really? You would be that rude and crude? I'm truly disappointed. I hoped you had enough common decency to realize how inappropriate that would be. I still have hope that the people you would question have enough self respect to tell you to mind your own business.

I read both your links. They say NOTHING about the percentage of "closeted" male Christians. Zero.

If anything, your links seem to suggest that this Bible-belt, Deep South city is very accepting of gay people, and that whatever "gay Christians" there are here, have plenty of "gay-friendly" churches they can attend.

So far, it seems none of your "research" supports your original statement.

Keep trying or recant.

riiiigggghhhhttt! it shows us that they were ' men on down-low' or 'closeted bisexual' before they finally outed themselves. Deny all you want. :ugh3:

Oh that's right. You are hearing. I'm Deaf and I ask straight fowarded instead of beating around the bush.
I sent you the links where there are so many gay christians... to give you some ideas that they WERE either "men on down-low" or "closeted bisexual"
before they outed themselves as openly gay christians..

Where does it show that? They didn't say, "I used to be a closeted or down-low Christian". I'm not denying anything. You haven't shown me anything that I need to deny.

Apparently, we are at an impasse. You have no proof to show me, so it's time to move on.
