In church, they may seem like the most upstanding Christian, but at home, it could very well be another story.

And, I think that's the point Netrox is making. There's a LOT of hypocrisy in our churches.
Amen, Did you know for example that the more conservative a person is, the more likely they are to be involved in nonvanilla sexual activity(the sort of stuff that would make a Focus on the Family person scream in horror?)

No, I don't know (and I don't want to know) But, that's not what I'm talking about, either.

Our marriage has nothing to do with our marriages and the vows also didn't say I give my life and vows to my wife and mom in law and I'm like I married to wife and in laws and we don't work together, my ex wife more committed to her mom than me and God did say that anyone who interfere the relationship like asunder, will suffer consequences and relationship is very important and key to build in marriage. Nothing wrong with in laws, but by severe dominate which affect the spouses and causing no commitment to each other bec others interefere lead a serious problem and that marriage is anulled or dissolve. What brought up about gay marriages? Well, gay marraige is set up by man, btwen man and wife establish by God. Again, I don't care what SOME christians are doing, that will not affect my faith in Christ. So much human strife of opinions, philosiphies and etc. No, impossible, for being commiting adultery does not make marriage stronger, but damage the trust. I learned to keep my life giving to God everyday and learn the mistakes and do not dwell on the thought of mistakes and not blame on others. Love the way of Joyce Meyers said, Kget rid of stinkin thinkin".
My correction, about my marriage has nothing to do with our marriage, sould be our marriage has nothing to do with riches or poor.

Parents giving away their daughter to the groom at the wedding, they can't claim daughters back to them, and/or they have no rights to get involved between the bride and groom in their marriage life.

IHMO, marriage is sacred and holy but today I do not see it as sacred and holy in many Christians esp with many politicans in Washington DC. They have no right to tell gay because they are no different from them. They said marriage should be man and women but it is all right for them to divorce. It does not make any sense to me.

Beside, I thought republicans wanted a smaller government control but I am wrong, they are no different from democract whom want a bigger government control.

That is correct. I have seen andwatch the movies or shows, how when in laws constant interfernce and dominate which lead marital devastation. Husband must leave the parents their rules and decisions and wife leaves hers and commit to one another, if one of the spouse hang on to parents will lead relational problem and riches or materialist over the other spouse is serious problem. Nothing wrong to visit or ask for advice, but parents demanding or control over is different story.

Yep. Everyone has skeletons in their closets.

BTW.... :barf: on Focus on the Family...what a stupid organization.

No need to name calling on focus on the family. Problem is this issues on the families and perpective will be differences. Tho like Shakespears as I watch the movie, about Love. Its kinda nudity, and show man and woman of romances. When there were two guys who are lovers. But they have blindfold represent as love blind. As also called unnatural. But if its 1780 ot 1880, they will never approve gay marraiage, even athiest or non christian will not approve of that. Even some gays don't approve gay marriages. And even some gays know its a sin, like everything else. Yes, truthfully, many christians live like the world and compromise the world. But love must have the flow. Many doesn't really know what love really mean. Agape is unconditional love, that's include hate sin itself, but not the person. Phileo love is friendship love, eros love is sexual love. English is poor part of language which causes confusions of the meaning different meanings in one word. To me, inspite all the balme and claiming who start it and etc, no christians doesn't start, not even non christians. Blame game will not start or go anywhere. Judgemental christians and non christian behavior I see are no different attitude. That's why I watched how Jesus walked and talked how He point out in different ways.

There's a saying......"republicans want government small enough to fit into our bedrooms"
Lucia, LOL......I know......I boycotted a conference last year b/c Focus on the Family spoke there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I think the last thing the federal government wants to get involved in is people's bedroom activities. However, marriage is not just about "bedroom activities", and the homosexual community forced the issue by demanding same-sex marriage rights. For over 200 years our states and nation didn't need laws specifying marriage for one man and one woman because it never occured to anyone to even suggest marriages between same-sex couples. Then, in recent years, this aggressive push for homosexual marriages popped up and grew. Who started that? Not the conservatives.

Very true.

Just because you have adhered to your marriage vows, doesn't mean that others have. You don't know what your "brother or sister" may be doing behind closed doors. In church, they may seem like the most upstanding Christian, but at home, it could very well be another story.

:applause: Amen to that! A lot of terribly violent people (abusive husbands/wives and abusive parents and money-thirsty people) go to church and pretend to be perfect Christians, and then when they're done they go and harm others (beating, scamming, cheating, stealing, killing, etc.). The reason they go to church is so they look good, not because they want to improve their spiritual lives.

Tell that to mother-in-laws... My fiancee's mom is going to haunt and torment us with guilt trips when I get married... I just know it...

Did it ever occur to you that most people go to church to worship God and fellowship with other Christians? Then, they go home and live good lives without "beating, scamming, cheating, stealing, killing, etc."

I'm not saying that there are some "fake" Christians attending churches. During my experiences over the years, with hundreds of Christians, I have met very few of those fakers.

Remember, not everyone who uses the name "Christian" truly is one.

I'm sorry that you have had such negative experiences.

Right, while I DO believe strongly that there are fakers (more than we'd like to admit), I think there are a lot of other people who are very good--like I said, I've observed one such Christian couple up very close and I know they have a marriage built on equality, and built to last.

Let's not forget that the "Bible Belt" has more x-rated bookstores than anywhere. One that I have driven by in Missouri between St. Louis and KC even touts themselves as "family friendly."

Yes, in religious belt have lots adult stores. You think church approve? The answer is big NO/ Approve common law? NO. There numbers of ways bec, many from other state moved in and many moved another states. There numbers of ways about all kinds. Even not many are mature christians. Many go to church, but few are mature chritians and large carnal christians. It is God knows the heart who is carnal or fake christian.
