I heard that Jim Carrey would be Darrin. Nicole Kidman would be a Bewitched. He had said to the reporter that if they get a good script he would love to be Darrin. The reporter asked which Darrin he would be, Dick York or Dick Sergant? He replied "I will be my own Dick".........Great news, just thought I'd share.

The director is N. Ephron. I can't wait to see this new movie. :D

Hmm... this sounds interesting. I miss that classic television show! Heh! It would be really interesting to see this done in the movies!

Cool stuff! I loved watching 'Bewitched' on TV...it'll be interesting to see how it's done on film -- on the big screen. Jim Carrey as Darrin...hmm!! erhehehhehe! Can't wait to see it.

Nicole Kidman bewitched with playing Samantha

LOS ANGELES — Nicole Kidman may not be able to wiggle her nose, but she's eager to try as Samantha Stephens in a film based on the TV series Bewitched.
"I have to make that movie," said Kidman of the Columbia Pictures project. "There's an enormous amount of interest in it."

At least there was from the media Wednesday as Kidman, Julianne Moore, no-show Meryl Streep, Jennifer Garner and Disney exec Nina Jacobson were honored by Premiere magazine at the ninth annual Women in Hollywood luncheon at the Four Seasons.

Kidman, who wore a pewter Chanel couture dress, would star as the adorable suburban witch once played by Elizabeth Montgomery. There's been talk of Mike Myers or Jim Carrey playing hubby Darrin.

Kidman next appears as Virginia Woolf in The Hours, opening Dec. 27 and co-starring Moore and Streep. The three appear on Premiere's November cover.

"I'm very fortunate because I've gotten to play some really rich, complex women in the last couple of years," said Kidman, who is Jude Law's sweetheart in Cold Mountain and the lover of an older professor (Anthony Hopkins) in Human Stain, both due out in 2003.

"As an actress, you know it's sort of fleeting in terms of the chances that you get. So to actually have this now, I'm really appreciating it. "

Bewitched

Hardly to believe, she died. Elizabeth finally visited a doctor where she was diagnosed with colon cancer; exploratory surgery proved it had spread too far and was beyond help. Just a few weeks later, on May 18, 1995, Elizabeth passed away with Foxworth and her children waiting in the next room at her request. She was 62 years old.

It's good but it is not the same as the original. :) Nicole Kidman, who played Samantha/Isabel, is fine....but what got me was the actor who played Uncle Arthur. He has the SAME mannerisms and speech ("Where's my Sammy?")...made me smile because he made me think of the original Uncle Arthur although they are not the same actor. :) Will Farrell is ok as Darren/Jack. :)
There are some scenes in the movie that showed the "Pilot" of the TV series with Elizabeth Montgomery....and the episode where Sam met Darren's old girlfriend (the same one that Sam "blew off" the girl's clothes at the dinner party). I thought that was fun. :)
There are some parts in the movie that is very reminscent of the original....where Isabel used a HUGE fan to make Jack's ex-wife's hair and clothes all windblown (imho, almost the same as the Darren's ex-girlfriend episode), where Endora (Shirley McLaine) as "Iris" who was talking with Isabel's warlock father (Michael Caine) -- In the TV series, Endora and Maurice were estranged...but in the movie, they were more friendly to each other. Iris is really a witch too as we find out later in the movie. :) There's more to it here but I don't want to make this post too long. :)
There's more....but to conclusion, it's a good movie...enjoyable....but it just not the same (kind of far off from it). :)

my partner and i ll see it next week maybe but defeintly with mom i think mom wants to see the other movie first but since i work at the movie theaters i ll bring mom there for her 51st b day FREE of charge heheheh :)
