Arkansas School to arm teachers

Guns are very very small. As in smaller than a wallet.
Oh, nice so they can stuff it inside their bras for 8 hours 5 days per week. Wouldn't it cause a discomfort to them?

Oh, I got it. They can hide it in a gun holder on their thigh covered by a dress. I am trying to imagine... a 60 years old female teacher carries it that way.

I'm trying to picture how you think female teachers dress. I believe woman can wear pants now. Also not all female teachers are 60 and I don't know what age has to do with anyway?

Yes, that's correct, I'm only ok with police officers, including off duty, part time, long as they meet training requirement that designed to deal with school shooting. I'm perfectly fine with armed staffs (such as janitor, IT specialist, etc) if they work for law enforcement and meet same training.

I'm trying to be fair with moderate, make popular for both sides. Completely gun free zone, zero security guards is on left and completely arm all teachers is on right, I'm in middle position.

I see. Thank you for clarifying.

Oh, yes they can. However I had been to my kids' elementary school for almost 8 years. Most of the teachers wore dresses because they wanted to. DUH!

There is just so much going on with the education field with the new Common Core Standards and S.T.E.M. education because it means all of us have to throw all the old traditional teaching approaches out of the window and take on a new approach. Also with STEM, we have to start teaching engineering practices and many of us have no experience with that plus with technology constantly changing and trying to keep up with it.

I just cannot imagine having to worry about being armed and being trained to shoot on top of it.

Guess these teachers don't mind but wow...just thinking about it makes me want to go camping in my RV and never return. LOL

Best idea would be to ditch the common core BS...

As I recall, the school did have a plan, the teachers followed the plan, the doors were locked, and the shooter forced his way in.

No armed police because the school was a gun-free zone, just like you want.

The door isn't secured enough, need use chain to tie all back/side doors.

You are misunderstanding my belief, I believe that all schools should supplied with armed police officers, that's not make school as true gun free zone.

The school with gun free zone isn't truly gun free because armed police officers are in place, but I only oppose any teachers to be armed.

No chains on exits. Fire hazard.

Every teacher I know spends all summer getting ready for the school year. Some are finding the time somewhere though

:dunno: I have a lot of teachers in my family and most of them chose to teach for the time off.

Ok, armed police officers need to patrol the school.

The school shooting massacre is unusual tragic event.

Hey jonnyghost, I don't advocate to have police officers to stay in all classes. Depending on school size, have 1-3 police officers are sufficient.

It's a non binding opinion. Wonder if they will bring action against the school?

It is illegal to disarm a citizen whom has no prior felonies or mental problems. It is an act of discrimination to allow permit holders to carry at their place of business but do not allow teachers to do the same.

nothing in the law says anything about that.
