    Different brand of tires

(sorry for the much delayed response...) To be honest, I don't know. He's hearing but since that post, he's allowed his ASE certification lapse. Now he's an electrical engineer and claims that the ASE certification was for his car enthusiast days and to make money to pay for schooling. If...

Thanks Anij. Thats a lot of info and it helps. Initially we're going to start with high school students to get started, but our ultimate goal is to make it for all ages. Funding is limited but hopefully we can raise money and bring awareness to the local and surrounding communities of a...

    Deaf support system... help?

I'd like for it to be all ages... and I think it would be better if it it did. The closest school for the deaf is in Springfield which is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from here. I do know of a bunch of deaf camps (lion's and ISD camps), so I'd be able to suggest to parents/kids of places to go...

    Deaf support system... help?

Thanks for the suggestions. I kind of lucked out when I went to a high school that had a deaf program... so I had the social support system. Before high school, I went to a grade school where I was the only deaf student in the district... So when they did have that after school programme...

SRT file "player" - software to overlay subtitles over anything

Have any of you tried using a WD media player? This device you can plug a hard drive into it (or a thumb drive). When you play the video file, you can opt to turn on the .srt file as well (provided that both files are named the same way). All of my movies are in digital format so I just...

    Deaf support system... help?

I received an email about a week ago from an acquaintance of mine that works at an advocacy centre for anyone with a disability. She wanted help in forming (or reforming) a support system for deaf students and to help prepare them for whatever they choose to do with their life after grade...

    Different brand of tires

:iolol: ... Since this thread is supposed to be about tyres (or tires), and not the English language, shall we get back to it? If we really want to debate the different spellings and pronunciations of the different words from the different parts of the world, then I motion we start a thread...

    Any girl gamers?

I just started getting into playing video games. Between the boyfriend and I, it seems like we own almost every gaming station. The current favourite is the PS3. I've been playing the God of War series.

    Different brand of tires

Just because I'm American, does not mean I don't have an English upbringing. I used to write a lot of emails and letters to my English relatives, so out of habit and from reading, I picked up their spellings. I also read a lot of books, so I get my fair share of various spellings. I used to...

    Different brand of tires

Technically speaking, no.. I'm American. My mum's side of the family are all English. Her brothers still reside in Europe. My boyfriend and I fought with the place that we bought the tyres from. Initially they claimed it was vandalism because at the time only one of the tyres had an issue...

Any of you ever have issues of tires pulling apart at the seems? Goodyear Eagle GT's have this defect if you put too much pressure on the side walls when installing them onto rims, they'll eventually start to pull apart at the seems. Before this defect became widely known, both my brother...

Those who decide not to get a CI

I've got the same mentality. If there's something I'm truly passionate about and want to do, I'll find a way to do whatever I want. I just wished a lot more deaf/ hard of hearing, hell... even Hearing people, had that sort of mentality. (I used to think I wanted to join the Air Force, but I...

    The Walking Dead

Saw one episode.... Thought it was pretty good. I'm not usually a big fan of zombie or intense thrillers of the sort. I liked 28 days later... but I could only handle watching it once. Same with the sequel to that. But my boyfriend is a fan of that sort of thing.. So I imagine I'll have to...
