Tell us something about your town/city. It could be something like a fact about your city that we don't know. Perhaps something you like or are proud of about your town, or even your favorite place to go to in your town or maybe even your hang out place.

I live in a sprawling unincorporated town of north creek in snohomish county, washington. most of the construction are created in 1990s to present. theres a lot of apartment and condos along with many high density houses and mega houses, also many retail and high tech business in the area nearby, too.

theres lot of tall coniferous and dediclous trees, too. most of them are alder and douglas firs.
the town is on the rolling hills/valleys with lots of vegetation and some creeks.

When I was little I lived in WA. I remember going to snoqualomy(sp)falls. It was so cool hiking were it was warm and seeing wild flowers growing out of the snow. Now I'm a Jersey Girl.Been here for most of my life.People think of NJ being ugly and smelly. Some of it is.Were I live is a lake community and I live in a log cabin.Who would think of NJ and log cabins.LOL.I love it here! Only fact I can think of that might interest anyone is Missy Elliott has a house here among many others Im sure.

My city- Salt Lake City is great place to live. Mountains on your back step, greatest snow on the planet to ski in. In olympics here in 2002 I got to work as paramedic, and got to see lots of events- I will never forget that. People here are very nice. My city is very clean for city this large.

Vancouver, Washington, where I grew up and still presently live in, are a little cute city next to Portland, Oregon right across the big Columbia River. There is 3 mountains near Vancouver, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Adams. Also Vancouver has very cute little downtown which are growing more denser and denser lately. Alot of people thought Vancouver was a small town, while it was not. Anyway, I love Vancouver but hate Washington because of stinky policy...

My town soooo far away from u guys in fact it right down the bottom of this world so close to Antartica. Where I live is the biggest city of my country and has the most population in my country. Am surround by ocean on my left and right. My favourite place is on the beach which is about 30 mins drive from my place. Here we are popular for the kiwis (the bird that cant fly). We have a harbour bridge and a skytower that overlook the pacific ocean. Cute sight to see. If you wish to know more about my country give me a beep!! :)

Charleston, SC:

Charleston joins New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Santa Fe, Quebec City, Vancouver, Montreal, Victoria and Seattle on the magazine’s list of 2007’s Ten Best destinations in the United States and Canada.
Charleston Area Convention & Visitor Bureau - Charleston, SC

"Our friends that sailed with us on Feb. 3rd unanimously voted Charleston the friendliest and most courteous port city anywhere. I include our cruises on the QE2, both New York and Southampton! ...THAT'S SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY!"

Absolutely Charleston has our vote for the most helpful and hospitable small business in Charleston. We came to Charleston for a couple of days before sailing and fell in love with the town and its people.

America's Best-Mannered Cities
Charleston, South Carolina Tops The List

(AP) CHARLESTON, S.C. To gloat would be, perish the thought, impolite. But again Charleston tops the unofficial list of the best-mannered cities in the United States.

It's the tenth time, and the ninth year in a row, this city of pastel buildings and ocean breezes has taken or shared top honors since etiquette expert Marjabelle Young Stewart started compiling her annual list 27 years ago.

"I think it's because they got on top, my dear, and decided they were going to stay there," said Stewart, of Kewanee, Ill., and author of 17 etiquette books. "It isn't just Charleston. It's the people who make it so human and kind and loving."

Other cities come and go from the list, but the constant is Charleston, she said.

...One of the keys to Charleston's friendliness may be its livability court, which handles quality-of-life complaints such as barking dogs, loud parties and trash in yards. The city has operated the court for the past two years.

However, Judge Michael Molony said Charlestonians tend to be so polite they are sometimes reticent to complain about their neighbors.

"I hear this a lot, somebody will say to me, 'I didn't want to confront my neighbor about this. I was embarrassed' or 'We get along fine but, boy this has been a problem for me,'" he said.

"I always try to make sure that when people leave they know they are always going to be neighbors," he added.

The city's sidewalks and small shops also may help make the city more polite because residents roam the streets and interact, Molony said.

"It's not like Atlanta or Charlotte where people are isolated in their cars and listening to their radios or talking on their cell phones," he said. "When people have human interaction ... it brightens your spirit a little bit and if I see a tourist standing on the corner of Church and Broad streets looking at a map, I might say 'May I help you?'"

Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr. said the awards were simply "reflective of the good hearts that we find in our city's people."

Reba, (charleston) I love Charleston so much. She is right, the locals are awesome. I have been there 2times. Good food, good people, good climate, and best of all, good golfing there.

Where I grew up was Phoenix, AZ...famous for its hot hot hot summers and 300+ sunny days. People may not know this about Phx...but was the host of Super Bowl 30 in 1996 in which the game was at a college football stadium not a professional football stadium. Was held at ASU where I was a student at the time. Was a crazy time with football and partying! LOL!

The town I live in is Severn MD which is the suburb of Baltimore. Lots of bay beaches around here so can smell the salt air from time to time. It is nice. I dont know much about it since I havent been living in MD for that long. Still learning. One thing that surprises my friends and family from AZ when they come to visit is HOW green MD is during the summer. Nothing but trees.
