Unfriendly/Snobbish People

Have you ever met an unfriendly or a snobbish person at work or somewhere else? I have....there is one lady in Felony who is like this around me. I don't know what I did to her....all I can do is just smile and say "Hi". She acts really nice to most people in my department (she hugs some people, but my manager said to me it's unprofessional), but to me, she doesn't smile or even acknowledge me.
One time, I was going to go in the hallway to my department, and she was in front of me....so I opened the door for her (trying to be nice)...all she did was wave her hands really fast like "GO ON!" and then walk out when I went past her. Another time, I said "Hi" to her with a smile on my face, and I know she saw me, she just turned her head like I don't exist.
I don't know what she's got against me :ugh2: , but I think she's got an attitude problem.
 
I know how you feel. There are usually one or two people out there that just have to pick one or two other people to be a prick with. My sister is one of them. Even though she's my younger sister, she's a real bitch when it comes to some things at home. I'll be eating with my family and/or friends. Out of the blue, she will tell me to stop eating so loudly and call me a pig for eating loudly. Another time, I'll be in the kitchen and I will ask my mom if there's anything I could eat since I'm only visiting in town for a couple weeks. My mom will see a sheet of frozen pizza that's been sitting there for a month and it belongs to my sister. I know it's my sister's so I say that I don't have to eat it. My mom insists that I go ahead and take it since she's going grocery shopping the next day to get more. So, I cook it up and eat it. That evening, my sister will ask my mom where the pizza went. As soon as she hears that I ate it, she will scream at me for eating her pizza. No, she's not screaming at me because I ate her pizza. She's screaming at me because it was ME... (I'm emphasizing... "ME") that ate her pizza. If my mom told her that someone else ate her pizza, she would say nothing. Boy, what a bitch.
 
yeah I had dealt with some people who i worked with they didn't think I wud do good at work but I sure showed them wrong :lol: at least.. just ingore who are hm.. ingorant to deaf people like me.. in end u will be okay ;)
 
ah i see, i think, u guys arent their favor person how/what they treat u and others different wrong, oh well, i cant judge them
Nancy u dont have to say hi or do something since she not interested in u or self-centred just look at her to say hi to u first :dunno:

have happened to me sometimes but I am happy who I am ;)
 
Yeah some people act like a bitch with me and I have done nothing. They have their own problems in their lives or don't know how to make friends, that's their call, LOL. When I was at work in Lowes few years ago, some gal who works in loss prevention dept acts like a bitch and I stick a tongue behind her back when she isn't looking. Some people at work act bitch for some reason or no reason, so what can I do? Nothing and let them go, and ignore them.
 
I can't stand people who are so superficial and stereotypical and there are some who are like that at my job. The difference with me is, I speak up to them becaused I don't put up with this. I work and do my damn job. What's not to appreciate? If you gotta say something, say it! If you want my help, say it! If you want to talk to me, talk to me. Don't rely on others to talk to me. I fookin hate that. They realize that I am human and ya know what? I got more respect from them at the end. Been working there for 8 years, but it took me few years to have the guts to speak up. Unfortunately, I get days where some people still act the same. :roll:
 
i have dealt with people liek that before... some are already deaf while others are hearing... however i never experience any of those at any jobs i had... mostly i had experience at school (high school, college) and restuarants. (high school mostly deaf people who were very snobbish to me)

Sounds like my sister too!!! She's the oldest in the family and I am the baby and I have one brother. My sister wil get mad at me if I do anything good that makes mom proud of me it seems like she always have to in the center of the attention. Arghhhh sisters are a bitch!!!!!!!! But I totally get along with my brother we never fight besides I am the sister that he gets along well too he told me so himself! BUZZ OFF to those ANNOYING snobby sisters

Nancy, I'm sorry you feel slighted- and you definitely should confront her!! You would be surprised. Just make sure you have witnesses around. *grin* Preferably the boss.

I'd... tap her on the shoulder, and make sure it is obvious that she SEES me... just a few inches away when she turns her head... and ask her kindly, "I would like to say that I've noticed how you react to my presence, and I am unduly puzzled by it as what I have done to deserve it; is it that I've been mean to you in a past life?"

LOL.. something like that?
 
Nancy...Nancy... does it ever occur to you that she doesn't like you? Deal with it. What's your issue? You want everyone to like you?

She is dealing with it her own way. I'm sure your way works for you.
 
I don't remember dealing with people who are either rude or snobby. If I do, I block it out of mind. Besides, it's no skin off my nose as it's obvious they're not worthy of my time.

Remember,Netrox, everyone has different coping and confronting mechanisms. :)
 
Depends hearing peoples are snob at me.. fine by me, I'll snob back too. Don't even give them a damn..

Espically My bitch family are totally snob and being picky on me almost everyday.. They are expecting be perfect family decent. When I bring my friend come in my house.. My mom really quite bitch'n at me what the hell your deaf friend isn't belong here.. I said.. Geez, my god, What fuck you have problem w/me being am I Deaf? My mom stunned stop talk like that way. I decide not want talk her at all 110% ever since for long time until I invited her come to my wedding. Big Changes, She realized that she truly miss me and rest of us family. She accept it us and move on.. What a waste longest years? I'm glad my mom divorced her husband. I never likes Dad rest of my life. He is bastard abuse me rest of my long years. My family are totally SNOB 100% due they were won the lottery 1980's *rolls my eyes up*

I've seen a lot of unfriendly people around my hometown expectly when I go food shopping, People at the cashers are always in a cracky mood, When the name of the store is Tops Friendly Supermarket, What a joke hahahaha!
 
Nancy, if all else fails, tell her that you hope a horde of a thousand fleas will invade her left armpit! :mrgreen:

Yea been there and done that. My sister is one of them. I just simply ingore cuz they will give up. :D That how it works.

Forgot to add one more thing. Those ppl who are snob or bitching have a very low self esteem. Meaning they dont know how to be happy or make a friend in a friendly way.
 
Well, I understand Nancy perfectly and her being who she is and wanting positive closure to something that bothers her is commendable in my view.
