AllDeaf Software Upgrade

Very willing to do so but it has been so long since I have done this that I have forgotten how to do it. I am on a computer running XP PRO and my browser is Firefox 44.0.2. Can someone tell me what to do?

I believe it's the Control and the PrtScn buttons (pushed at the same time).

Alex , will you be shutting down AD at anytime to work improvements without any interruptions?

Looking great amigo!

This does not look quite as pale as the real thing for me but hope it helps.
So, it's the dark gray quoted text that you find hard to read? I made it dark gray so that members can tell the difference between quoted and non-quoted text.

No, not while I tweak the new AD software. :)

YES! Between the box that it appears in and the fact that it say "QUOTE" at the beginning and the end should be enough to identify it IMO. In addition the italic is another difference currently.

In fact, I would much prefer that everything that is gray everywhere on the site would be true black instead.

I have no trouble reading the gray text. Perhaps Alex should ask Botts and DD, and others with vision problems, if they would like the text changed to black. Frankly, having it gray makes it easier to concentrate on the posts - less "clutter" to catch my eyes.

I think everything looks great as it is...

Those who have vision issues should go to settings and set up larger text and or color of choice?

It is not all a matter of vision issues but preference. That even though the current is readable the darker is more pleasant to me and even easier to read.

Ill contact Campbell and tell them to put larger text on the soup cans too.
Cant please everyone.

True, but most companies (and websites) should appreciate constructive feedback (not whining or demanding or "I don't like it so change it").

One difference is that this forum software already has features built-in to customize the look so it's not a major difficulty compared to re-printing soup cans.

The light gray is harder to see. I assume it will be easier and not matter when we get the dark skin.

I have font set very large, but it doesn't help that much when you have a faded color.

My eye disease scars my retina and macula, so it's kind of like looking through a thick fog.

Things not bright and well defined become very difficult to see.

aw I miss the AD Spy page...

Alex, Will you be getting all new emocons/smileys or sticking with the same old boring ones....lolo_O

I know there are so many out there, some have more or better stuff than others, just wondering as it would be fun to have a wider range of them

Looks pretty, but I am majorly confused.. o_O

and where are the old emoticons? I miss them!

He's still working on things. See the 1st post for his latest update including the status of emoticons.
