What did you learn today?

Was Piper on a leash? If she was loose I would have a similar urge. Even more so if you were not visible.

She is always on a leash when outside. Cannot have her loose in my neighborhood as we have dangerous dogs out.

I've learned today that I most likely will be moving back to Austin in couple of weeks. Today I got a job offer I cannot refuse.

That probably accounts for their reaction — not knowing which are which.

Big difference and they have seen the dangerous dogs and the GSD that I have. The dangerous ones are 3 times her size, more tan and grey and a GSD/wolf mix. Piper is a mostly black with tan smooth coat GSD. The GSD/wolves are 100+ pounds and Piper is 60 pounds. They have no collar, she wears a lime green collar.

Should never have mentioned as I will always be found wrong.

Sad to learn that another Police Officer was killed in the line of duty. Officer Thalmann was just 22 years old, seven months on duty from North Carolina.
He died from his wounds from being shot in the face.
RIP

I haven't heard of that one but it isn't the first and unfortunately won't be the last. In 2008 2 deputies were ambushed one was killed from being shot in the head as soon as they stepped out of their cars. I'll list the info for it. I know Chris Martin but not Deputy Klutz(the one that was killed). Martin was over the Sheriffs Dept Explorers when my nephew was in that too. Scares me a little him being out there especially since I got him into law enforcement in the first place. The article don't say the outcome but the shooter ended up killing himself in the woods not far from his home. There is an annual blood drive at the SO now and is named for Deputy Klutz.

I've learned being patient DOES pay off! Well, I knew that... but I figured I would restate it... :dunno2:

Today, I learned my sister is even more of an idiot than I give her credit for. Who popped up in the ER today while I was working? Yes, that's correct! Why, you ask? Oh, nothing big... Just that she can't read instructions on OTC pill bottles. Did you know OD on Tylenol is extremely common? I did I did!

Seems like every day I turn on the news lately there have been death of firemen and police men. Police have to make a split second decision to shoot or not to shoot.

I learned that tours for Abraham Lincoln's historical house in Springfield is free!!!

I'm surprised-- they do that every year, I believe, looking for the thing.

what thing...it looked like swan to me

The Loch Ness Monster ain't no bird. Look up the history of alleged sightings, and see what they think it looks like. However, I don't believe it's real, though.

I learned that my mom used to watch anime. Cool!!! I knew she watched dragon ball z but that was all

Maybe they thought she was a drug detection dog and they had guilty consciences. :giggle:
