Pet Peeves

My can't stand people who are late, and don't have the common courtesy to let you know they are running late.

 Hey Rio, how...

 bot , you got me! When they say , hello. You reply back. when you are in conversation, suddenly, they stop typing ack to you. You know in facebook the the chatbox at the right hand corner? That one a live chat.

Yes, I don't really like that chat. I keep it off so people can't suddenly start a chat in the middle of some game I am playing.

yeah... My dog!!!! J/K haha.

right now my biggest pet peeve is VISITORS parking in the RESIDENTS parking spots in front of the apartment buildings. Residents have a parking tag in their cars so they can park in the spots in front of the apartment buildings, but the visitors often will park in front of the buildings even though they're not supposed to. doy!

When there are multiple mothers pushing prams and they decide to take up the entire pavement by walking side by side. Cmon! You don't own the sidewalk! I've missed a few trains because of this.

awww im sorry. I was the one of them a few years ago.

Along these lines. When I'm approaching people walking two (or more) abreast towards me and I feel like they expect ME to step aside to pass them. But, you know what, I don't...

Peeved when people can't throw their gum away in a trash can. Or at least have the decency to wrap it up with something before tossing it.
I've gotten it on jackets, jeans, shoes, sandals, and even my hair once - no idea how it got there.

I am one of those who, when encountering a similar person, we'll end up nearly walking into each other once or twice as we trade directions. :)

I getting really ticked when around here, all of the problems with the grocery store, or gas station or restaurants are all the fault of the "foreigners". Yes, there are communication barriers. Yes, there are other issues regarding comprehension. But listen, not many of the people want the "menial labor" jobs. I say "Quit yer bi**hing and deal with it".

I hate it when I walk into toilet stall and find that someone do not flush toilet.

Oh man - that is the pits!! Also, when you can see that they have totally wet the seat and the floor in front. That's why I never use a public restroom ever.

Or walk onto someone pooping on the floor few feet away from the toilet... Happened to me twice already in NYC. The Port Authority terminal is filthy.

Pet peeve of mine.. driving in middle lane and 2 cars switch from left lane to right lane.. in crossroad mode.. and no blicking light in back for lane change movement? blah hell man...

After eating and not cleaning their table matt....grrrr....dirty washcloths left in the bathtub...grrrrr....empty toilet paper roller....grrrr....and most of all....dirty dishes left in the sink! That's the worst for me it seems, when the dishwasher is right there and all it takes is to rinse the dish and stick it in.

People who cannot seem to walk a few feet to throw their plastic bottle or can into the recycle vs. the garbage. Or better yet, people who do not even think about the planet and buy these objects to use once and then have them go into the landfills. :pissed:

People who rain on other people's parade. You tell them you're so excited your daughter is getting married and they tell you that's great, they hope it lasts longer than their own marriage did (their marriage ended ten or fifteen years ago, so it's not like it's a fresh wound) and start talking about their sad lives as singles.
You tell them you found a great buy at a thrift shop, and they tell you why they hate thrift shops instead of just saying, "that's great," and changing the subject.
You tell them somebody in the family is finally having surgery to fix a problem that has been bothering them a while and they tell you "i hope they don't die, I knew somebody who had that surgery and died."
You tell them you won some prize and they go all glum and whine that they wish they could win something sometime, they never get anything.
No matter what your good news is, their response is to find a connection between your good news and something sad about them.

I hate that about the thrift store issue. I have had people tell me how much they like my outfit it and ask me where I got it. I would tell them that I got it at a thrift store and they comment, "ohhh I never shop at those places." Nice

You should reply "Great. That means more great outfits at bargain prices for the rest of us."

One of my peeves is that I wish people would empty the shopping basket their self instead of checkout person. It smacks of laziness.

My biggest pet peeve is people taking things out to use them but not putting them back when done. Happens in my house and it makes me want to scream!

Shamefully I admit I have a few pet peeves . One is putting the TP roll on so that the paper unrolls from under rather than over the top. BUT, I try and keep that peeve of mine in check by focusing on the positive - that someone actually replaced the roll! :)

:giggle:...I'm just the opposite...especially if the toilet paper has designs on them and someone puts it in the back and not the front....:giggle:...Was "correcting" one of my sons about it...and he gave me a dirty look and said...."does it realllllly matter that much?"....
