you don't need to think. it's already set in the stone that Obama is a two-termer. It's pretty obvious and he's not even trying

If Republican continues to use "good ole' Reagan" rhetoric and smear tactics, they have zero chance of winning any Presidential election for many years to come.

The Repubs are actually doing a very good job of getting Obama re-elected.:giggle:

I haven't taken ANY position :)

And I did nothing..... ie. Settled a claim that had no merit.

I don't mind telling the story. An idiot contractor walked into a hardhat area on one of my jobsites without his hardhat. (He signed a contract saying he would wear the helmet) He ended up taking a large piece of plaster to the head. Even though I would have won (signed contract) paying him off was cheaper than my legal fees. Oh, and I did spread the word to make sure he never worked again. :)

I also paid $500 for some "missing" gold coins a customer claimed one of my workers took. She found them later and repaid the money. She was elderly and had hid them from workers but forgot where.

If it had no merit, try it and clear your name.

Here is the opinion peice I mentioned earlier concerning settlements:

Cain would win in court, but this is politics - CNN.com

The article goes on to explain that Herman Cain has not lied:

So it is certainly plausible that Herman Cain did not even know the details.

Cain lied. And he is continuing to lie. The gaffes he is making with the press shows that he can't handle pressure. Reminds me of Sarah Palin in the last election.

If he can't remember details of his own life, how the hell is he going to remember the details of running a country?

not really. what do you think why Walmart is doing just fine and still reaping in profits despite of having at least few dozens lawsuits per year?

Perhaps it depends on what business you are in. But for a politician, sexual lawsuits are never good even if you are innocent. But in this case the public is leaning heavily to the guilty side.

I didn't assume anything. I noticed someone assumed guilt and just wondered why.

Why do you consistently assume guilt of others without anything at all on which to base your assumption?

Cain criticized Pelosi for not acting on a piece of healthcare legislation when she was speaker of the House.

"You didn't hear about it in the previous Congress because Princess Nancy sent it to committee and it stayed there," Cain said at the debate in Michigan.

Asked by CNBC after the debate if he regretted the remark in light of the sexual harassment claims by four women, Cain said, "That was a statement that I obviously should not have made, but I was trying to make a point."

Cain has denied all allegations of inappropriate behavior and said the accusations will not force him to withdraw from the race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

The pattern of disrespect for females in order to "make a point" is beginning to show up. Not good for Cain, at all. Looks like innappropriate remarks in regard to women is something he engages in on a consistent basis.

As odd as this may sound, making a mistake and owning up to it raises a person in my eyes. He still has a loooooooong way to go to win my respect. but every journey starts with the first step. He still has to seriously own up to the sexual allegations out there too. However, I cannot imagine he could possibly say anything to earn my respect.

He couldn't deny this one. It's on film. But the very fact that he would make such a derogatory statement without thinking speaks volumes regarding his basic character when it comes to the treatment of women. He has a basic belief about women that becomes obvious even when he is trying to be on his best behavior. It's a pattern. Apologizing for getting caught doesn't change that.

Making a mistake, owning up to it, and using it as a learning experience so that the same never occurs again is an admirable thing. Unfortunately, Cain does not appear to fit into that category.

I agree completely. His pattern speaks for itself. I doubt he has every really had to hold himself back until now. or held accountable for his words until now.

Someone mentioned Coretta Scott King just endorsed Cain. I can't verify it ...

Nawwww, she told me in one of her nightly visits that she put a hex on him. Each time he makes a sexually suggestive remark, his penis shrinks. It won't be long before he tools around in a shiny new sports car. Sorry about your penis, Cain! :giggle:

To be fair Cain admitted he didn't go to political correctness school.

Appears he did not attend employer - employee relations school either. Oh wait, he has not been found 100% guilty yet. My bad.

So it is safe to assume that ALL GOP candidates have had to settle? ALL DEM candidates as well? Why are all these women picking on your pizza man for the last 15 years, but not on the other candidates?

And the word is piece not peice. "I" before "e" except after "c." Hey Newt!

Do you mind while I shred this to pieces for you?

The only allegations against Cain are from when he was the President of the National Restaurant Association. Cain has been in numerous other positions. Where are the allegations from his other employers and organizations? Why are all of the allegations coming from Chicago and within a span of 2 and a half years?

If he is a such a monster as you are trying to paint him out to be, there MUST be other allegations out there from other employers? Or, is he a con man too?

Why would one of the accusers also have attempted to "settle" for a significant amount of money at a later job for the exact same complaint she filed against Cain? Why is she claiming now, 15 years later, that she is not doing this for the money? Why would she claim she would come out publicly if only Cain wasn't holding the confidentiality agreement over head (when it was NOT cain who did this, he never consented to the agreement and signed no documents). When the NRA released her from liability from the confidential agreement, why would she not discuss her other allegation where she demanded significant money, but dropped the charges because in her own words "It was minor"? Why would she then declare it was "confidential"?

In Bialek's situation, why is David Axelrod listed as an attorney in her legal finance disputes? Are there actually two David Axelrod's practicing law in Chicago? Why would someone who was forced to pay child support for Bialek's son file a paternity suit claiming he was not the father (and won the case)?

So, in all the years of Cain's career, the only allegations against him were from his time spent in Chicago .... :hmm:

I am sure there are some spelling errors you can jump on now ...

I am not painting him as a monster. I am removing the silk ribbon and gold leaf wrapping paper you have applied to him. He is an inexperienced politician. That doesn't bother you? He makes politically inept comments, but that is ok? I have not convicted him yet, but you have some serious blinders on. How confident are you that there has been zero sexual mistakes made by this guy? Why are the other candidates not being called out by women from 15 years ago? Why only him, the politically incorrect, inexperienced, former NRA leader? Is it strictly a restaurant thing?

As for your spelling and grammar errors, it is with pleasure that I try to undo the poor college education you received from Newt. You want to come across as bright, then write that way. This comes from a guy with zero college, just a year of vocational school.

Have a nice day. Your freind SWK.

Perry is done. After what happened at the debate last night, there's no way he's going anywhere from now on.

I think the blinders are on the ones who are assuming Cain is guilty of anything when no facts have been presented at all.

They simply saw him as a threat when e led in the polls (coincidentally, when the allegations came out).

Grammarian

Grammarian usually has little to contribute to a discussion and possesses few effective weapons. To compensate, he will point out minor errors in spelling and grammar. Because of Grammarian's obvious weakness most Warriors ignore him.

I will be sure to leave intentional spelling errors so you can continue thinking you are bright.

Where were these polls 15 years ago, when the first "severance packages" were delivered? I could care less if he is the top candidate, but think a bit here. Do you really want this guy for your GOP ticket? He is making it look like four more years for Obama. Just because he does well in the polls does not make him electable. I actually pity the GOP right now. Obama is doing nothing to be re-elected. The GOP is doing all the work for him.

I am not trying to appear intelligent. It is just me. Simple Christian guy. Middle of road. Popeye said it best: "I am what I am." Accept your situation with grace.

That was a pitiful performance, yes.

Being from Atlanta, it will probably be a huge truck, instead.:giggle:
