Interesting past few days. On Saturday my brother arrived home early from work and said he didn't feel well, and went to bed. I checked on him pretty frequently and became increasingly alarmed by his appearance: his eyes were weird, bloodshot and crusty, and he was almost incoherent. I begged him to go to the emergency room but he brushed the idea aside (mainly because he doesn't have insurance, ugh). On Sunday morning I was awakened by what I thought was an earthquake or sonic boom, and discovered him semi-conscious on the stairs. He had fallen and his head was bleeding from hitting the wall, and he had soiled his underwear. I couldn't understand his mumbling, but my mind was made up. I quickly cleaned him, wrapped a blanket around him and took him to the ER.
He has been there two days now, and they will test his thyroid gland, which they say is overactive. He could have Graves disease, or possibly Legionnaire's disease. Whatever it is, I feel confident they will fix him right up, and I told him not to worry about the bills. I just want my brother around. I hope you understand.

If that happened to my sister, I would be so scared. Hoping for a quick recovery for your brother!

worked until 2PM, exchanged several things at stores, park with my kid.. now getting ready for a dinner date! so so exhausted.

His health is more important than money at the moment! My sister used to have Graves disease but is cured. I wish your brother a speedy healing. Take care of yourself, too.

Thank you so much, and everyone else too! I agree that when it comes to money, it can be spread around like manure, but family is different! :)

Beowulf, I am very sorry to hear about your brother. I hope he will make a quick, complete recovery.

Well, let's see...today I had to go to the mechanic with hubby to give him a ride home after dropping off the Expedition, then we went to cemetery to photograph the gravestone for hubby's Aunt, then to Whole Foods for my milk. Came home, fixed lunch and while in great pain I had to vacuum the house and sweep and mop the kitchen. Also had to shampoo the carpets. Then took hubby to Home Depot to buy a chainsaw. Took him back to mechanic to get the Expedition (A/C is fixed for now. Have to see how bad the leak is). Then this evening, took the family to Pizza Hut for dinner. Getting ready to get onto Spreety.com to watch last nights episode of House.

Finally got around to cleaning up my fridge and now I'm putting off mopping up the floor.

Why are you in pain?

Why are you in pain?

Not quite sure. I have massive muscle pain from my neck to the right shoulder blade. If it doesn't start feeling better by Friday morning, I will go to the doctor. I don't usually feel anything on my right side due to the neuropathy, so it's real troubling. Right now, it's real tight. It mainly hurts when I move, but after I get into the new position, it's just tight and not much pain. The only pain is in the transition from one to another.

Try simple yoga. I actually have a book with Babar, as my doctor recommended easy yoga to me for just that type of pain.

I should say at that time, it hurt so badly that I was sure I had bone cancer. And it was really caused by physical tension.

Thanks, I think I will try that. I do have a book and a captioned video for simple yoga for people with limited mobility issues like me.

I went to work, went by the housing authority and inquired about the monthly rent as it is based upon my income - it would be $380/month. I will check back tomorrow as I forgot to mention how much the deposits will cost as utilities are included except for telephone/cable. I'm not sure if I can afford this or not as I would need to include other mandatory expenses such as car insurace, petrol, groceries, clothing, cell phone, internet (I will need it for school). Again I will be looking into my options and see what is available, or if possible try to find a roomate that is willing to go half and half with me on a rent house in the area, obviously it will be someone I have known for a long time and will trust. Again just considering all of my options.

I hung out the washing, groomed the cat and cleaned his nose and clipped his claws. Went online and did banking, sent out a couple of emails and spent some time on AD.
Swept the floor. Made my bed. Watched Dr. Phil. Donated to Save the Children.org for Japan relief fund.

Hmm, now I'm sipping on frozen coke mum bought me.

cleaning nose? haha.

back home, the date went pretty good. ate at BJ's and we talked a lot about my kid (how he feels about him, etc.) and understood that I really had to go home early--plenty of watermelons in my eyelids lol. oh yeah and food/dessert coma!! :p

isign, bewoulf, and everyone else who posted injuries, are in my thoughts...

Q tip is a very handy thing to use for cleaning my cat's nostrils. :)

Glad to hear you've had a good date.

I...just had a car accident two hours ago. Minor head injury, stiff neck, stiff back, a few bumps here and there. EMT's said I'm stable and I have 24hours to go to the hospital to get the MRI and CT Scan to be clear if there's anything going on but so far I'm cool. No dizziness, not lightheaded, shock passed and anxiety is down. My body is just sore -____-

dislike dislike dislike! :(

thank you, jiro. spitted all out already....wait, is that YOU I am talking to.. :squint:
(there are baby-size q-tips yes .. I use them on my baby).
