What did you learn today?

Actually, it has. Women are going through menopause later, and girls are going through puberty earlier.

I don't see how that was insensitive.

Gee, someone I know must have missed that boat. She went through menopause at 48. Started periomenopause in her late 30's.

What's the reason behind that, do you know?

1. Environmental Factor (chemical/hormone in food, water, etc.)
2. Lifestyle Factor (longer lifespan, work condition, etc.)
3. Birth Pill

I learned another storm system is approaching the area after a few dry days.

I learned today that I cannot talk to my family, they will always take what I say the wrong way. I am either a pervert, being insulting or being immature. there is nothing I can do to change their minds.

Part of it is natural adaptation. As women put off having children, the next generation will begin to adapt to that schedule and menopause will occur later. With the earlier onset of puberty, some of it is environmental, but partly natural adaptation as well, because when women do choose to have children, they are spacing them further apart. The body begins to adapt to allowing women to have more children by increasing the time she is fertile.

Mostly injected hormones in meat. :)

That is why I eat ORGANIC only.

No hormones injected into meat - the USDA will not allow it, but however it may be more related to the vaccines that animals receive when they are born. It could also be related to the feed, it has more proteins than normal to encourage rapid growth, also many factory farm animals are breeds specifically geared for human consumption on a large scale. That's why all broiler chickens are white as well as factory farm raised turkeys. Cattle that are raised for consumption are also bred for the taste of the meat.

I know this because I asked the supervising vet who works for USDA at the poultry plant I worked at. After further reading and conversations I learned that many poultry growers and beef growers have specific breeds they work with.

Also for a food to be labeled ORGANIC it has to meet the USDA requirements for ORGANIC, they can't just slap it on there; but many companies still do and find loopholes to get around USDA, at least for a short while. So you kind of have to be careful about your Organic labels as well. It may not be 100% organically grown meat.

I eat everything... Just buy in the natural food aisle, usually has everything you need.

My rule is simple - read what is in the food, and if theres a term you don't know, why put it in your body...

Like I always preach on here about HFCS.

*Sigh*no, some of my family are just automatically taking everything I say the wrong way. And then even after I apologize it is brought up and I am made a villain all over again.

Do you eat strawberry yogurt?

Yeah I've worked in feedlots and I've seen it all. Funny thing though: Cattleman's Choice Loomix, LLC - Loomix is the liquid cattle feed supplement of choice -- everytime im around the area that they use loomix in - once the food is gone, then they refill the feed - the cows literally RUSH and fight for food. it's insane.
The injections for hormones - I wasn't clear, I was speaking of the vaccinations to make them grow faster. I strongly believe that it is still in the meat you consume. Trace amounts - but it adds up over the years.

Also - for me to verify if my meat is organic.. I buy it from a very personal friend, by the cow.

Did you know that in strawberry yogurt and many food products there is an ingredient called carmine and that is a beetle from South America this is boiled and crushed for the contents of its stomach. Those contents are then used for food coloring... Yummy right.... NO

Last night, technically, but I'm still counting it- I learned that when in bed at 3am, with no squirt bottle to break up fighting cats, taking a swig of water and spitting it in the direction of the yeowling works just as well.

It was cold, and I was not getting out of bed.
DON'T JUDGE ME. lol!

Suggestions, I have a question about Lincoln I want to ask everyone here its a part of a debate I am having with others but not quite sure where is the best place to post it...suggestions?
