neither do we but the law specifically says that if you do not sign the ticket, you can be arrested. Signing the ticket means you promise to show up at court later. It is NOT an admission of guilt. By REFUSING to sign the ticket, it means YOU WILL NOT SHOW UP AT COURT. They arrest you so that you can show up at court!![]()
Jiro, how about this one...
Supposedly, your car parked at the meter and you went out shopping. The meter is time out that you missed to put more quarters in the meter machine on time. The patrol put a ticket on your windshield. That ticket does not require you to sign your name on it. All you have to do is to bring your ticket to a court and pay the fine. No problem!
Now, a trooper require you to sign your name presently. That piece of paper is a paper. All you have to do is just go to the court and complain it to a judge if you don't agree with the trooper. The system would be a lot easier if the cop has your license numbers in the databank and mailed a ticket to your house - I mean without your signature. If you refuse to go to the court, then you know rest of it. i.e. seize your car, lien your house, etc.
The cop is just like playing little boy games wanting to find a way to hurt someone with their weapon. It is just silly amazing that we have in our society.
That cop is to protect our people on the road. Any vehicle that move is a part of a weapon. i.e. A car hits someone on the road.
Common sense: The cop finds that the woman is a hostile, then he should have requested his backup so that she would be arrested and seize her car until she is proven at the court. This is what it supposed to be that way if a taser was not invented at that time.
You are a man now - not a teenager. If that cop is present with you, he would hurt you a lot than you ever imagine dealing with him in any kind of situation. It's because the cop is trained to be brainwashed and do his duty is to arrest you easily. That's why you have to stand back and think twice to make sure that he doesn't cross your line even you are friendly to him. My former boss was a cop for 30 years, and he told me a lot of stories.
