I'm about 4 weeks away from finishing ASL 4 and I have no idea if I should pursue becoming an interpreter, I'd appreciate any feedback and perspective to help me choose, thanks

I apologize if this has been mentioned before, but I'm interested in getting a webcam so that I can sign over the computer. I have a mac, so iSight is an obvious choice, but since it's $129 for me (with a student discount) that seems kind of pricey, I was wondering if there's something cheaper...

..and I started learning ASL roughly a year ago. I live in Sacramento, CA and attend school at UC Davis, working towards my B.S. in Math. Word.
