There were only three colors to choose from, and silver was the best of the three. I was disappointed because my daughter really wanted ours to match. If I upgrade my hearing aid in the future, I hope to have more choices.

Was it proven that the daughter had indeed been sexually assaulted? If she was, no way would I blame the father. Those who say he took the law in his own hands cannot imagine the horror he faced when he saw the man assaulting his daughter, and the majority of us cannot say we wouldn't have done...

It was mainly because mine is a different brand and was only available in the classic colors. I am not familiar with covers for hearing aids; is there a place I can go to see them? It would be really fun for my daughter and I to wear matching covers!

Aww, don't be so harsh on her. Instead of being on really inappropriate websites, she seems to just be looking for other deaf/HoH people that are around her age. Kap, hopefully someone can offer a suggestion or two for some message boards that might be a little more appropriate for you. :)

They are Resound Xplore. You could choose from just about any solid color you can imagine. My daughter and I hoped that I'd be able to get the same color, but I had to choose from silver or those awful classic nudes and browns. :roll:

It has definitely happened! Poe tells about several cases just like this in his short story. Back in the older days, they didn't have the technology to determine that a person was absolutely deceased, so it wasn't extremely uncommon for a living person to be declared dead.

You all should read Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Premature Burial.' It discusses several real-life incidences where people were buried alive. Did you know that Poe suffered from a condition that would occasionally leave him completely comatose for a while, and he would appear dead? He was so afraid...

Most of the deaf people I've met online seem to be pretty accepting of HoH people, and even hearing people for that matter. But I have met or seen a few deaf people who were rather rude toward HoH people (thank heaven most aren't like that!). I don't understand why others wouldn't be accepting...
