I grew up with my family, going to church on Sundays. Sadly, these days, or so I think, not as many families attending church either on Sundays or Wednesdays like it was a few decades ago. Hopefully, in the days, years ahead, there will be some sort of enlightment that will result seeing a massive growth spurt of families going to church--regularly. ;)

Alot of my families believes in God, but not me, I am neutral to God...

my family don't go to church but my parents did went to church when they were growing up but not anymore. shrugs but I try to go to church but i only go with friends that all but i haven't gone to church much oh well

My Roman Catholic Grandma went to Church every Sunday morning.

We all don't go to Church except my Roman Catholic Grandma.

My dad never went to church except once (for his wedding).

My mom went to church when she was young. After she married my dad she very rarely went to church.

When my brother and I were kids we sometimes went to a variety of churches for Sunday School and VBS. Nothing weekly.

Since Hubby and I became Christians (as adults in our late 20's), we joined an independent Baptist church, and attend every Sunday (a.m. and p.m.), Wednesday night, and whenever there are special events (revival and evangelistic meetings, church picnics, missions conferences, etc.)

Hubby and I did not grow up praying or reading the Bible. We've been praying and reading the Bible since we became born-again Christians.

Before I became a Christian I knew about Jesus but I didn't personally know Jesus. The evening that I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior, then I knew Him as real in my life. :)

Hubby and I raised our daughter in a Christian home, sharing our beliefs with her, and living our beliefs by example.

I love/trust god. I dislike going to church because it's not excite. Maybe it's terrible service.

My family and I are all different religions...My mom is Catholic, Step mom and step sisters are Catholic, Dad and his parents are Presbeytreain (sp?), My aunt, uncle and Cousins are Basptim. I am Lutherin.

It's werid how we are all in different religion but we all believe in same thing, God and Jesus.

My parents didn't go to church when I was growing up, but on other hand, I went to church almost every sunday growing up with my best friend's family...that's how I became Lutherin. In Teen years, I attended Youth Group in Christian church with my friends until I gradurated from HS. Now I stopped going to church...busy all the time and I feel the need that I don't need to go to church anymore as I beleive God and Jesus in my heart, not what Bible says.

My Husband is not into any religion, but he does believe in God. In meaning that he's spirtial. My son, we both agree on that we'll let him believe what he wants to believe, not what my religion is or what my husband is. We just want him to have his own choice, but we are teaching him that there is God out there.

I used to attend mass whether it was on Sat evening, Sunday morning or Sunday evening with my family.

We always discuss Him every time we visit with my family except for one my sister who is conservative Christian, we will never get along because we do not share same belief.

I used to go to chruch but I stopped going when I was teenager. Let me give you an advice. When a person stop going church, that don't mean we stop believeing in GOD. A chruch to me is just a building where people get together. That is wonderful. But to me GOD is everywhere we go. GOD is with you all the time in your heart, home, shopping no matter where you go he with you and watching over you. So, going to chruch is not really required, and you will not go to hell for that. :)

And don't forget what exactly "church" means ;)

What does 'church' mean (to you)--can be another topic/thread rather than in here so it lessens the chance of veering off-topic-- ;)

True. I was just curious of how he saw Church and was just gonna let it go after that. I got enough discussion going anyways so I'm not gonna start another thread. :)

Church is not a building itself... it is group of people with same belief...

My family dont really go to chruch so often, same thing with me too.

But i'd rather to have a open discussion in my personal club rather than in chruch, because i cant really attention to preacher and easy to be bored, no offensive. I do love to sing with God and Christians, sadly, I dont sing very much.

Of course, I am very enjoy it. TOTALLY. :):)

My parents put too much trust in God. If something really bad happens, they believe God did it on purpose because of his secret plan.

I come from a Roman Catholic background. My family used to trust in God, but I think their attitude has changed, which surprises me.

As for me, I was never a church person. If I had to go to church, it was because I was forced. I never felt anything in a church. But, I am a very spiritual person.

As for the meaning of church... Besides being a place where people to go to worship, a church is a business.
