mostly mall and stores,wal-mart have more reasons to hires security police dues armed forces for protect states whether if you not harmed or hurt.

my hometown have security police at mall in North Little Rock,Ar and Little Rock,Ar to protect people at mall they not have suspect people bring guns, knives, etc! and also stores,wal-mart too.And also my mom's hospital at work in Little Rock,Ar have security also and also North Little Rock,Ar same security too.

what about yours hometown? have security police?

I know its so scary at Nebraska mall get hurt and killed, injury its my fears for me going to Nebraska if im going there who would protect me! but my Uncle is correction officer for police officer know to protect our families and me also.If im going to England one days my boyfriend will protect me and its would be thankness godness!

I feel safe shopping, in life in general anything can happen around us. We just have to put our trust in the man upstairs to take care of us. Pray for our country, nation and world to be safe.

I vote none.

We don't have security police around mall here in Germany.

I voted yup for most mall in suburb and some in urban, there's bad mall in somewhere, when closer to low class neighborhood and used to be middle class at first place before alot are changing over decade like demographic shift and give a mall into nightmare then businesses were end up to seek for new tenant at other mall for better safety feature. There's few bad mall in chicago area, usually next to bad area.

Check out about dead malls website...

I voted yes, even through we do have security quards at some of the malls here in Ohio, whether or not they may not be carry real guns but still anything could happen anywhere not just at the mall.

We just have to be careful, and watch our backs.

No place is safe anywhere no matter where we go or where we chose to go shopping at the malls or stores and even resturants as well. We just live in a crazy dangerous world around us with lots of crimes and we all know the christmas holiday is near also so lots of theif are bound to be lurking around to steal xmas gifts in people home.

I could remmy happened in Irving (Dallas area). Irving Mall shooting and all of deafies refused go there... so goto Grapevine instead.

I said no because I did not often goto mall if all day then I will be alright.

Everything/everywhere is not safe anymore.

Hindsight may be 20/20, but nostalgia is myopic. Everything/everywhere has never been safe. The only difference now is more people going at a faster pace. Then there's instant news, gruesome film at 11:00.

But we still pretty much make our own safety. A few of the more prepared may happen into a situation where some halfwit feels secure plinking away at sheeple in certain locations, because sheeple have been effective at making sure no one else but him has a gun. But if he misses the first shot, is he ever in for a surprise.

I vote yes. There was another shooting outside the South Mall today near our work. Well, no place is safe anymore, but life goes on...we can't hide forever...

What bothers me is the practice of malls going into "lockdown" mode when a shooting happens. That essentially traps all the shoppers and employees in their stores and mall. Hubby said if you hear "pop, pop", run for a mall exit or a store exit. Every mall store has a back door to the outside. BUT the malls lock all the exit doors! They prevent potential victims from escaping! That doesn't make sense. What if your store can't close it's gates before the shooter gets in. You're trapped like a rat. Bah!

Anyway, remember to aim for the mass.

Let's be honest, we are never entirely safe and secure anywhere, even if there are tightened securities or surveillance cameras being build-in. It does not prevent us from getting shoot.

Security cameras seem to work best after the fact, for solving crimes. They don't seem to prevent many crimes.

I have to agree with that. :)

Yeah, I second that.

*hmmm* interesting..

My hometown and other town or city.. There's only security and take care of shoplifting... then call police pick the shoplifter away from the mall.. That's all.

Mall always clean and safe..
