I wouldn't say that it's worthless. It's not as good as some other options but it's not without worth.

It would just make him angrier and more violent.

Kick'em down there and runnnnnnn! or give it a nice thrust of facepalm right at his nose (or chin) and that will give him a good jolt.... or even concussion.

They have to be close enough to kick or push (like you think THAT wouldn't make them angry). I would prefer to stop them before they get that close.

One must do whatever works depending on the situation.

But fleeing, like Lucia did, is always preferable to confrontation. The only thing I might change is not fleeing directly to my own home. I wouldn't want the perve to know where I live.

Whether she did or didn't, is no one's business but her own. If she didn't, I'm sure she had her reasons.
 
I want to say this to Lucia herself. We have not been on the best of terms lately but I care enough about her to hope she's not seriously hurt. In NO way do I wish this on anyone, and I hope, Lucia that you're OK.

Please take care of yourself. I don't want to get into the debate that seems to have ensued here, but whether you choose to get pepper spray or defend yourself some other way, please do. You don't deserve to be hurt or abused in ANY WAY. No one does.
