Who is Hung Over??

I'm not hung over; I don't drink. However, I'm pretty nervous and scared right now. I almost got into a gun fight last night with someone who didn't like my driving. Police arrested him and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon (me and my 10 year old).

Scary experience.

:-o a case of road rage? and how did police get involved?

I was quite hung over in morning and it's ok now.

Oh, wow! That is terrible! Is your 10 year old okay after that experience? I'm assuming you are since you are posting about it, lol.

I'm sure it was a case of road rage - on both our parts. After he waved his gun at me, I told my daughter to get on her cell phone and call 911 as I followed/chased him. I immediately gave the license number and told the 911 dispatcher every road he was on, every turn he was taking. When he got to a certain part of town, I suspected he was going to pass in front of the (small town) police station, so the police set up a quick road block just for him. It worked.

Yes, Jillio, thanks... both me and my daughter are okay.

Wow David, that's scary!

I'm not hung over, but am still drunk, sort of. We drank so many shots and glasses of wine that some of us (including me) fell asleep about 10:30 last night. LOL .. Missed the whole count-down thing. We all woke up at 4:30 a.m. and polished off more bottles of wine. Went back to bed at 7 am and here I am still feeling a bit drunk ..

After, a dose of Nyquil sent me to zzzzzzzz woke up feeling better :) I am sick with a cold its getting better.

David, sorry to about the incident glad you and your daughter are ok and that person caught too.

oh wow... You took quite a risk by following/chasing him cuz he's the one with gun and you're the one with 10 years old daughter. What if he noticed you following him and he got pissed off? He coulda just stopped in the middle of road and started shooting at you. :Ohno:

That is my thought also. If you did something like that in Iowa, I am fairly certain social services would show up and take your child.

btw David - I'm in NO WAY of criticizing you in any matter. I'm just glad everything ended nicely and nobody got hurt. I just want to understand your situation better so that we can act accordingly if it ever happened to us (i pray not)

Oh, wow... what a terrible experience you had, David but I am SO glad to hear that you and your daughter are OK, that's important... and also, I am glad to hear that bad person got caught.

Back to topic.. I am not hung over, because I don't drink any alcohol due to my meds but I am still up since last night. I am a little wired. I think I will probably go to bed early around 7ish.

I'm not in any way of hung over. I'm not a drinker, just stayed home and ate pizza and drank some pepsi and watched 3 movies and watched the ball going down at midnight.

David, that's got to be dangerous and scary to go thru that situation. Glad you both are okay and safe. :)

Alcohol can be easily abused, especially for social drinkers. I swore off bingeing. I had only enough for a nice relaxing buzz, and feel great the next day. Use with caution everyone, alcohol isn't as easily controllable no matter what the experienced or commercials tell you.

We watched a good movie, watched the "ball drop" on TV, had one sip of champagne to toast in the New Year and went to bed. Glad everyone is being safe this year.

Botts, love the new avatar!

I had an awesome time last night on the date and celebrated it with my childhood friends at her house for NYE.

The party lasted until 5:30 am and I didn't get to go to bed until 6 am, ha. It's been a long time since I've stayed up THAT late, lol.

I was pretty much buzzed up even though I had a lot to drink. Surprisingly, this time I didn't get the hangover. Thank god for that. ;)

Thanks, Doc. It is Mr. BTE, a doll who contains a hearing aid dry jar.

A year ago this afternoon, I was hit by a convicted drunk driver. His car hit my van front left corner to his front left corner, minimal damage. However, how I know he was a convicted drunk driver is that in Minnesota, convicted drunks get a special license plate and I recognized it. I contacted his insurance and, within the week, my van was in the shop for repair. He was probably in jail because his insurance company contacted me for a copy of the police report. I had a good laugh when I hung up the phone after talking with them. :D

The morale of the story: If you drink and decide to drive within that 24-hour period, chances are you may still be caught as dui. Are those drinks worth seeing your insurance rates go through the roof?

To answer the question of the op, I don't drink and I don't get hangovers or buzzes. I also don't pity those that do. I don't pity those who get stopped for dui and think it's funny. :giggle: Even though I see nothing wrong with having a glass of wine now and then, generally speaking I don't drink.

I did have fun at my church's singles party last night, though.

I didn't do any drinking last night but I did a couple of nights ago I had pepsi and rum and I didn't get sick :D

Actually, I didn't think about that until after the whole thing was over. All I could think was, "this SOB pulled a gun on my daughter." When everything finally settled down is when I realized how dangerous the situation was. I think I was running on adrenaline.

Don't ever come between a man and his daughter.
