Make a habit of changing smoke alarm batteries when you change you clocks for daylight savings time.

Our CO detector plugs into an outlet. All six smoke flasher/alarms in our home are wired and synced together.

I do. :D

I would know when the batteries dies are when it beeps My son usual tells me when it beeps, that's when I change batteries I used V9 for smoke alarm...

But, If I am not home for like two months, I would come home and recheck the batteries to make sure its still working by pressing my thumbs on the line if it's green that means the batteries still good, If it not green, then it means it's dead...:)
