What remake would you like to see made?

How about 6 Million Dollar man?? LOL
Happy Day, Knight Rider, all Hitchocks movies
You're right! I would love to see those remade! I remember watching those shows in the 1980s! *sighs* I miss those shows!

LOL!! Fun thread, Malfychickie!

I wanna see a remake of Bewitched and I dream of Jeannie. One of you said Bewitched would be remade, so that's pretty cool.

For some reason I keep thinking of The Loves of Dobie Gill. LOL I was a big Nick fan in the 1980's. Would love to see how it'd be remade.. And "You Can't Do That On Television" where they spilled green goo on the kids. Sort of a kiddie SNL.

Yeah, I'd love to see a re-make of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and guess what?! They are! They're turning it into one big movie yay. Umm, I can't think of anything else I want re-maked, they're pretty much doing all the stuff I want to see done again, including the Marvel comic movies (never saw the first ones but I like the look of the new ones).

YAY!!!! I love the series even if some might consider them having Christian themes. I don't care. Sometimes Christian fantasy can be really cool. hehehehe
I've seen the old british version - it's "okay." Hope they do better in the remake.

I saw a coming attraction for the Garfield movie. I didn't think they did a very good job with designing the cat at all, but Garfield's been around a very long while.

Smurfs movie, anyone? :) Heh!!! Not animated, of course. Something a bit more realistic or Pixar-ish? (Made by the same people who did Toy Story and A Bug's Life... :))

my mom told me the movie "sound of music" is based on true story..

I didn't know that, Scuba. I do know though, that I enjoyed it more when I was an adult than I did when I was a kid. It was too musical for a deaf little gal to really follow. I always kind of thought these people were being silly...singing everything as the movie went on...there was more singing than there was dialogue, for heaven's sake...and the older versions of the movie weren't closed captioned. The DVD is, though...but it sure would be interesting to see new people in the main roles, new scenery, etc. Probably would be a good Disney flick.

Actually, Malfy... Scuba's right. The "Sound of Music" was based on a real family living abroad. I can't quite recall the exact situation here, but there is/was a real family called Von Trappe, and the family did become quite well known in their day. I don't know if you ever watch the Biography Channel, but if you do, look for a peice on the Von Trappe's. It'll give you the background on the family better than I can. :)

As for the musical, I never liked it. lol I'm not a musical kind of gal, either. I find them boring, and blah, don't like 'em! lol I DO like "Willie Wonka and the Choc. Factory", and the "Wizard of Oz", but that's about it. If there's singing involved, I usually want NOTHING to do with it! lol

As for movie remakes that I would like to have redone, let's see...I can't think of a single one atm, so can I get back to you? lol

Remake "Smokey and the Bandit"....Make Burt Reynolds be Sheriff Buford Justice in reverse from his original role as the Bandit. Guess they will have to substitute the C6 Corvette for the Trans Am since Pontiac quit making them *WAH!* Ben Stiller would make a good Bandit in the movie - Only problem I see is how would the CB chatter be like in the 2000's since cellphones replaced the CB radios.

"Bullitt" .....Problem is who is going to be Steve McQueen's modern day equal? God, I miss Steve McQueen since he passed away in 1980. That guy was the ultimate action-movie actor of the 1960's....Perhaps Ben Affleck or Matt Damon would fill in the role of Frank Bullitt that made McQueen famous. Keep that 14 minute long chase thru the streets of San Francisco scene too!
(the new 2K5 Mustang and the 2K6 Charger would be perfect since the 1968 versions of both cars were in the chase scene)

"Giant"....Best damn Texas oil story and it was also James Dean's last-ever movie.

Right now I hear they're remaking another Burt Reynolds classic "The Longest Yard" of prison football players with Burt acting in another role. Adam Sandler's even participating in the remake too!

Somebody told me that Paul Walker would be an ideal actor to play in a role that was played by Steve McQueen.

Thanks banjo....I damn near forgot about Paul Walker.....

Speaking of ol' Paul.... I hear rumor he's in the big screen version of "The Dukes of Hazzard" and they might try to sign Jessica Simpson to cover Catherine Bach's famous cut-off shorts in the role of Daisy Duke....woot!

But one nasty problem.....the Stars and Bars on General Lee......

Lately we've been seeing remakes floating around Hollywood....The studios running out of fresh ideas they have to "retread" their old movies?
