What do you think? Would you accept a face transplant after an accident? Would you donate your face? Is this ethical or moral?
The doctor gets paid because the surgery is his/her job and that's what happens when you have a job, you get paid. The hopsital gets paid to cover the costs of operating a hospital and to pay for the equipment etc. The drug companies get paid b/c the hospital bought their products and the patient will continue to do so. The donor doesn't get paid because he/she is DEAD (typically). If the donor is alive, he/she donated the organ out of the goodness of his/her heart, usually for a family member. The donor's family doesn't get paid blue cross, it doesn't cost them anything to donate the organs. That's the whole point to donating. You're helping to save another life out of the kindness of your heart. Otherwise it would be called selling your organs.
Society puts on those who are scarred or deformed.
donate my face? that may freak out my kids. just when they think i'm gone.......knock knock....
