The best comic book to movie adaption made?

As someone who has never read the comics but will... I thought it'd be interesting to see what people thought was the best comic book adaption made from people who have read the comics, ie. which was the most accurate, or realistic. If you haven't, then pick your favourite comic movie! :)

Batman-DC comics- (1989) -Simply the best Batman movie I've ever seen in years to come

Blade-Marvel comics- (1998)-I never read the comics, but the movie was great also.

Blade II-(2002) sometimes they say sequels are better than the orginal, eh? well I find both versions to be equally the same, but great.

X-Men-Marvel comics-(2000) great story. great actors.

X2-(2003)-possibly one of the best superhero-based movies I've ever seen in a long time

Spider-Man -Marvel comics- (2002) as a huge spidey fan that I am, I'm alittle disappointed this one, because I feel that it didn't entirely live up to the comics...for example, Peter didn't have organic webbing in the comics! ><

Spider-Man 2- (now)- So I quickly got over to the fact that Peter will and always will have organic webbings who was bitten by a genetic spider instead of a radioactive spider...so anyway, the sequel to the orginal was MUCH better and does feel like it lives up to many parts of the comic book series. Dr. Octopus was just great.

worst comic book adaption ever made

Batman and Robin -DC comics- (1997)

Hulk -Marvel comics- (2003)

That's about it

I can't really say because most of the movies don't exactly follow the #1 edition of the comic books.

Like what VamPyrox said, none of these movies has ever follow excatly the comics and its originalities... But Batman Part One and Spiderman are the best comic book adaption but not close enough for me to nod at (Even though I didn't watch Spiderman 2 and Hellboy yet)

MIB is a comic book? I never know that...

I know that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was completely ruined because of the movie and television series. The original comic books were extremely violent and contained a lot of mature adult stuff such as cussing, half-naked chicks, etc. Now, it's boring and cheesy. That's why the original comics lost their value. The same goes for The Mask. That was also mature-themed until they made the movie and the television series. :(

Personally, I feel that it's pretty tacky when they put half-naked chicks in the movies to give it more of a sex appeal. They only put half-naked chicks in the movie when they think the movie is going to flop.

Just my opinion.

I was referring to the comic books. There would be scenes when there's a fight going on and these ninja turtles bust in on some couple having sex. They way the artwork is done is that it looks brief and realistic than the way movies make it in a corny way. The same goes for Mask. In Mask, it's actually a different guy each time because the last guy abandoned the Mask when he disappears or dies. One of the Masks comics had this guy taking advantage of women in the most degrading way possible. There was one duo comic where the Mask met Barb Wire.
