Wal-Mart workers charged in cat shooting

Christopher Anderson, 29, and Jeffrey Hardin, 21, told police the store's manager ordered them to get rid of the animal that was living in a storage trailer behind their store.

All managers potentially involved in the incident have been suspended without pay pending an internal investigation and could be fired, said Wal-Mart

That was a dumb move upon the store manager, That isn't the employee's responsibility to get rid of the animal to begin with, The store manager should have called animal protection union to pick up the spray animal instead of saying to get rid of it. I hope the store manager get fired, But the employees, I don't think it was their fault because they were told to get rid of it. But, still they should have told the store manager no, even if they get fired they could contact the head office of Walmart.

I agree with Cheri; they could have called an animal shelter or something. Although, my dad has shot at cats and dogs with just a BB gun. It doesn't hurt them, just scares them. And he always shoots from a good distant. Sometimes he doesnt even hit them, but just gets close enough to them to scare them off. I know there are a lot of cat lovers here so please do not be offended by me. I am now married and we do not own a gun of any sort; not even a water gun lol.

Id i had that problem heres what id do. Make a poster we have your cat. And keep it up for a month. If nobody claims it. ITS MINE! :D

 Those people should be in jail for it.. smh at the store manger for it also. :pissed:

I also agree with Cheri.

Oh poor kitty kitty kat. If I was the worker I would have call the animal controll officer to come and get them. Of course I would tell them the that manager wanted them dead.

Whack his head geez.

I think they should get 10 years in prison for killing cats.

oh my god, I would be pissed off if i found somebody messing with cats and i wouldn't repsect them at all...

That's what the SPCA is for -- there are even animal cops out there that go and rescue animals from homes where suspected people are alleged abusing the animals, etc.

People dont know any better, I'm sorry that this happened but people dont realize that there are alternatives out there. They probably learned this from their parents, remember most people are still used to taking care of things themselves. But on the other hand this was a cruel thing to do, but they probably reasoned that since the cat was probably wild, it would have been put to sleep anyhow.

poor cat!! i definitely agree with cheri... there are many alternatives.. i cant believe they can be so heartless :( im glad they are getting justice about it.
