How many of you are sick now with a cold, flu, or virus?? I know some of you in AD are sick.. what are the suggestion you can give for me to do? What medication do you use for colds?


Gosh, I'm really under the weather now, been a week.. I've got the upper respiratory infection such as coughing, runny nose, nose stopped up, shortness of breath, itchy eyes, watery eyes, headaches.. and pains on my chest (from bronchitis).. I went to the store to buy some cold medicine and they were allll out!!!!!! I was like Holy Shit, everyone is obviously sick!

I really hate this feeling.. Now I'm on the neubilzer because of my shortness of breath, taking cold medicines, vicks cream for my chest, nasal spray.. isn't that awful!?! Yeah, its that time of year where season is changing....
 
My daughter just got over the strep throat and stomach virus she got from school..


my fiance is sick with a really bad cold nothing like mine.. he's sneezing alot, runny nose but he's feeling better today..
 
Well...I have been sick last week with ear infection and running nose a little bit...but now I felt so much better, I just took cold medicine and some advils.

Yesterday I had a bad headache, and still got a little bit headache this morning...I guess that means soon sinus or something.
 
i had sinus infection and bad cognestion whole one week and half. Dr gave me antiobotic, cough med, and nasal spray. I kept had hard time to breath, couldn't sleep good, feel so weak, keep nose running, and cough bad. I am all better now. Alots of people has cold/sinus infections virus surround here. My dad and my cousin have them.
 
Only the way is.... Antiobotic/sinus cold
Vicks: rub your nose and helps breathe as well.

Best tip: Hot Tea or Ginger Ale will helps as well..

My habits taking medcation: Advil(miragines) still ongoing good for flu... Helps me better as well.
Vicks: Every Night, I goes bed and rub my nose. I felt so good and breathe smoothly rest all the night. (Fall/winter only)
Going out somewhere: Use Looks alike candy but not. it's cold or cough.. called "Fishermen's" Yellow package.. It's licorce taste...*yummy* (((Warning very strongest med))) Helps smoothe down throat and feel breathe methol... *exhales*

If you wish try like mine.. Up your choice... *smile*~ :)
 
Sinus Infection is no fun, I'm telling you it's like a feeling of being hit by a bus. I still have sinus infection but, not as bad as it was before, It's getting improvement. I uses Nasal Spray for my nose blocking, sometimes it burns. I would get a tiny rash on my upper nose. I've been also using Vick for my chest at nights wrapping my neck with a towel. ;) But, in the mornings I would need to take a shower right away or otherwise it's going to stink on my clothes.


My friend has this Nasal/Sinus Irrigation System, and its a drug free device. But she says it works 100 percent for her. I want one of those! She also told me that machine isn't cheap either, 100 bucks pretty much.
 
I haven't been sick yet so far. *knockin' on wood* :lol:

Hope you will get well soon. Maybe, that chicken soup will help ? :hug:

Today, I'm still coughing alot.. lot of mucus is coming out.. which is good!! I've been having dry cough all week.. hurt my chest! damn..

Chris, my fiance, is doing much much better now.. I'm the last person still sick.. :evil: I can go 2 months with this sickness.. sucks!

I have bronchitis too which is why I'm hardly on-line & only post in AD when I don't see stars when I cough. Poor Chris, he's a sweetheart to put up with me when I'm uber-cranky! My first concern was "Does USA have Canada Dry Gingerale?!" I was going to bring cases of that over the border the past weekend if there wasn't any in Ohio. :giggle:

All in all, bed rest and drink fluids like I do and it works.

I thought Canada Dry already have in USA all over...

When I was in North Cailfornia and saw the bottle.... *yay* grabbed my favorite Canada Dry...

Don't give up Patty!, Keep looking another surrodings food store and to see if Canada dry on stock shelf. Wishes you good luck..

Poor you, smuggler lady take canada dry from canada and brings in usa... Did happends Security ask you ???

I thought so too, Terri but nope. Some places have that some place dont.

I had to be careful when I brought back food from Farmer's Market in St. Jacob's Market in St. Jacob's, ON to Ohio because I didn't want the border authority to confisicate the Mennonite sausage, maple syrup, apple cider and fresh vegetables because some places in Ohio is hard to find what I wanted.
 
I’ve been sick as a dog for two days now—it sucks. It’s in my lungs, my throat, my ears, and my sinuses. Kleenex is a joke—I’m carrying two or three paper towels in my pocket all day. No fever though—knock on wood. I get some really good mucus breakups in the shower, so I think (knock on wood again) that my immune system is getting the upper hand. I’d really love some albuterol and a humongous shot of penicillin in the ass, but I don’t have any insurance right now so I just have to tough it out. The one thing I find that really helps is just keeping my strength up by eating as much as I can.
 
Gosh! I am not the only person who is sick too! Just last night around 12am, I started feeling bad and later on, I started getting a bad scratchy throat and my nose was fixing to give me a hard time. Then when I woke up this morning, I sneezed and blew my nose out. My throat was so bad hurt. So I was thinking what is wrong with me? *light blub* ah! my allergies are back! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! So as soon as I knew what was wrong with me, I took antibodies right away so I should be fine in no time.

My sister was sick with pneumonia-had to stay in the hospital overnight and she now has allergy-related asthma<-----(just had that last month for almost a month) she didnt catch it from me. She has that coming from her pneumonia and she also has an viral infection. Then my mom is sick with her terrible allergies. Now I have allergies. UGH!!!

So I just take my meds and drink fluids and get some rest and STAY INDOORS because of allergies outside. That was how I got sick, it was wet and windy all day yesterday. SIGH!

Wow, A lot of members are getting the flu too? I hope it wasn't from me. :whistle:

I have had a runny nose early this morning driving to work but that cleared up when I got there.....I get this sometimes after I wake up (sinuses).

If you want to talk about a really bad flu bug, I had one years ago when I was in middle school. I was off for a week from school because I was vomiting almost the whole time, and felt really dizzy. I remember laying on the sofa (with a bucket on the floor), and my mother had to get some make up homework from school for me (yes, they did that to sick kids!!). After a week, the flu bug disappeared and I felt so much better. It was awful -- I never forgotten that!!
 
I have not get flu yet...


I feel sorry for my hubby can adapt sick easily from someone.. He has to get flu shot soon....

Children can get sick for a day but not more than 3 days.

Wow, glad to know I'm not alone, I end up getting sick yesterday with a chill and a strip throat, today I feel much better all because of RR, he took real good care of me, :cuddle: ....but today I'm coughing a bit that's because of Cheri, she's just keep coughing at me...

It wouldn't be at my house. It would be at Rebelgirl's house. :whistle:

I gotta bring my mask, actually I could steal one from the operation room. After all we are all deaf we can just sign to each others how hard can that be? :P
