True--however she was under the influence of a drug. The article doesn't state what kind of drug she was on at the time of her death as some medications can be mind altering.

I agree with jillio--a lot of unanswered questions.
 
Perhaps the Husband could have grabbed her hair. I am sure if they found bruising on her neck, or what not. This case would not be re tried.

They did find bruising....

Moustakis noted Shaibani's conclusions were in line with some of the other evidence, including bruising Genell Plude had on her neck.

Other medical testimony was inconclusive on the cause of death.

So.....the hubby's story does sound "fishy" to me!

But I've heard of people taking a lot of drugs, pass out, and fall down face forward....then suffocating in their own vomit because they can't lift/turn their heads.
