This is why i have no respect for law enforcement agencies.

Depend on how much u pay the ticket. My neice will have to pay 400 dollars fine for speeding. Anyone who got ticket will have hard time to get a good pay job because of background check.
Well, I paid $200 dollars for the speed.. I drove 55 mph which is over 25 mph limit in the small town :/

If i did that to my father hed would whack me with a belt. I been whacked with a belt by my dad so many times when i was little. I know you cant whack kids with a belt anymore cause if you show a teacher your belt welps she would go to the principal and the principal would call the police and the police would arrest your dad. That law about whacking kids with a belt came taken place in 1975. Thats when i showed my doctor the belt welp he took my mother in his office and he warned her if he ever see another belt welp on my back again he would call the police. and my dad would been having fun with big bubba behind bars.
No wonder you have lot of anger issues.

I've gotten tickets from cops myself and I DONT place the damn blame on the cops. I only place the blame on myself! Stupid ticket or not, its MY fault, not the COP's fault, period. If I feel its stupid, I can fight in court, but most of the time I just pay up the ante and take the consequences.

I have always respected cops every time they stop me or I come and ask for help. I treat cops with caution and respect they deserve because law enforcement is one of the most STRESSFUL and DANGEROUS occupations, period. Remember that a cop is under stress and must react quickly when he is out on patrol.

If I didn't blow my damn alternator in front of the cops last Monday night, I would have walked a mile or two for help in the middle of the NIGHT and that's a DANGEROUS time to be out there!
Wow... what a respectable gentleman you are! :)

Your lucky cuz it did not happened to my mother when her van was broke down and went off on the freeway ramp and stuck there. Cop stopped and gave her ticket for that and left her there alone without help her out. She had to wait for awhile before someone else stopped and helped her.

Jazzy you hate cops too right? See they are self centered biggot people who care about nobody else except themselves. They became police officers simply because they wanna be above the laws and nothing gets done to them. If they speed while theyre off duty they just show them their badge instead of their licence and registration and they will say just take it easy now ok? And no ticket is issued and no insurance rates will go up. If youre a non cop you have to show em your licence and registration and the officer will write you up youll pay the fine plus your insurance rates will go up. Thats why a lot of people hate cops.

I am sorry to hear that jazzy. Was that in a big city or a small town? The cop should have had helped your mother out instead of giving her a ticket. Did you or your mother file a complaint with the police chief about that?

This incident really makes the motto "Serve and Protect" look like a joke.

Thats what im trying to tell you about cops. Theyre job is to protect and serve Also,, To uphold the laws and enforce the laws. NOT ABUSE EM!

Steve....How funny of you to say that cops become cops because they are self centered and only think of themselves....Look at the stuff you do. You abuse the Handicap Placard..You park in front of Hydrants (I've seen fire trucks push cars out of the way..and break windows to run hoses through them). You will park directly in front of a No Parking sign because they don't apply to you...who is self centered?

As you said yourself (and I've quoted), to uphold the laws and enforce law. All the run-ins you've had with the law is because YOU BROKE THE LAW...the cop that wrote you the ticket was just upholding and enforcing...just as you asked and just as your tax dollars pay for.

Look theyre too many no parking signs and theyre frustrating as hell when youre trying to find a parking space. What you sugguest i do? Park at the nearest Mc Donalds and walk 35 minutes towards the stadium? So he gave me a ticket cost $65. When i slashed those tires that covers for new tires. So if the cop should had looked at the situation like its game day he should over look it and enforce it on a business day.

Oh...so you want them to 'uphold and enforce the laws' except when it comes to you? Who is being self centered here?

I can understand your frustration about not finding a place to park...its something we all suffer. As many other members told you earlier, use mass transit. Thats what its there for...In baltimore, use light rail. In DC, use metro. I love going to downtown DC near The Mall and monuments. I refuse to park there....Metro goes there and its an easy trip..just as it is to college park and any other place you'd want to visit in DC.

Taylor look at NYC Both subway trains let you off Yankee stadium and Shea Stadium. In Baltimore Lightrail let you off in both stadiums. But they should expand subway connection there. But in D.C They should build another short tunnel to byrd stadium like On the sidewalk next to the gates. So you get on the escolators up you go and go in the gate and youre inside. And Metro doesnt go to FED EX Field. And thats a HUGE Patrking lot.I used my Handicapped pass to get on the lot.

Actually, Metro does run near Fed-Ex field. At the furthest point, it is less than 1 mile. If you don't want to walk it (still shorter than your 18 blocks or whatever you walked in college park), you can also take the shuttle busses from various metro stations in PG county to the stadium (Addison Road for example).

It was in the middle of nowhere between two towns on freeway. No she did not file complain against this cop because it was not worth of her time to go there and complain. I wish she did it. Oh well.

My husband has issues with cops now, not me. I don't really hate cops but I am afraid of them sometime. Never know what they will do if they pull me over or not. Wonder if my brake light work or not, never know so they do make me nervous sometime.

What do I say to what? That jazzy's husband has issues with cops...what does that have to do with me? There are people who have issues with cops and some that don't. Its part of a profession. Not every cop is perfect, but not every citizen is perfect. Again, why do you mention my name?

As for the officer writing a ticket and then driving away from a disabled vehicle, I do have a problem with that. Its not something I would have done unless the person was an extreme a-hole to me. I've had people refuse to move their car from the roadway....even though its a major road during rush hour and they have caused a 2 mile back-up...I'm referring to a flat tire where it doesn't hurt to drive the car slowly out of the road.

I'm not saying that is what happened, but that is the only time I would have written a ticket for a disabled vehicle.

Well you cant help it if your car quits on you? Why give a ticket because car quits cant be moved off the road? And theres no lawyer will help you sue the auto company if that brand quit.
