Actually, I think the ads are based on specific topics in a thread. I only say that because why would I need an ad regarding toupee's as that cam up during a thread regarding hairstyles and such. I have never had any reason for cookies in my computer regarding toupees or anything like that. No balding people in my family.
 
I often get ads about hearing aids here on AD. Sometimes about car rentals too.
 
I'm sick of the ones that ask about Obama running for a 2nd term. I'm sick of any ads regarding Obama, but I guess I must suffer.

I know about those. This was a very specific ad not related to a discussion topic but to my shopping.

Same here. I get ads for things websites I've been to on my computer...like right now, the hotel chain I'll be using in Utah later this year....even geared towards SLC, UT.

So do I. Mostly "Deals" types of ads.

However, for a while, I got kayaking ads. I am pretty sure I haven't mentioned anything about kayaking on AD, but did search online for kayaks.

I SEE BBC America Shop ads all the time. Especially for Doctor Who and Torchwood. Which coincidentally I love. And if I had any money to speak of I Might invest in a nice collection of all of the Doctor Who stories and the spin offs.
