Text Message Snoop?

Never.

Been married forever. To a perfectly trustworthy person.

Vamp, I have a feeling you're guilty as charged! LOL
Hahaha... nope. I've never snooped on anyone's text messages. I've never had a reason to. :)

It's usually when someone shows me without me asking.

Someone Else: "Hey, look at my pager... she said this!" *shows me her pager*

Me: "Oh, okay. Thanks."

I just don't get it. Why would people just snoop to begin with? Haven't they heard of respecting others privacy or space?

That hasn't crossed my mind to do such thing like this because if I were to snoop, it would only make things worse by having the trust to be on the line.

Yeah.

When I catch people snooping, the most common excuse is that they don't trust the person they're snooping on. When they say that, I'll ask them... "Then why are you friends with them?"

Me no way unless they show it to me or if the person is missing or emergency then I would look into it to find the clue. But other then that I wouldnt snoop in at alll.

Well, it is rude for hearing people to evedrop on conversations. So texting is a deaf person's way of making a call - so snooping is like evedropping. It is rude. Not only it is about your privacy but it is also about the privacy of other people who send you the messages...they are sending it to YOU not to anyone else.

My humble opinion...:) .

I'm not compelled to read others' text messages, because I consider that very lacking in manners.

Boy, It shows how nutty things can be, huh?

My wife and I do snoop each other's text message sometime. Careful what you say that can lead your partner think you're up to something. Snooping happens while still in texting with friends or family member. When I'm still texting and I handed over to her to read, she scrolls up and down to see what he and I were saying. I did the same. I always have a habit of delete or End Conversation after texting in order to keep memory usage low. Some people are stupid enough to leave text or email piling up in their mobile device to the max enough to encourage curiousity.

Best advice: If you really want to keep text message for long time, just foward it to your own email or save it to "notepad" if there's nothing personal in it. If it's personal, foward to your private Email (make sure it's not sync with your mobile deivce).

When you're finished with text messaging, just Delete or End conversation. Don't leave it piled up too long that it'll eat up device's memory or cause device not to receive any more message. Develop habit to be a Minimalist (I cleaned out lot of unneccessary craps from my BB device with MaxMem3, I saved 20mb worth!! My bb curve now have 51mb free space! and still have useful apps in it such as Midnight pool, Pacman, Mini Opera ect...). Also if you can't delete text message cuz you need to keep it. Just lock the mobile device w/ password.
