Tea with lemon - with skin or not?...

Most restaurants do NOT wash lemons or lines properly...thus it's teeming with bacteria and their lil cousins. :shock: None for me. But I do like orange sweet tea every now and then. Haven't made that in years...
 
I prefer drinking hot tea with honey or sugar for the Winter. Summer, sometime I drank ice tea with flavor of lemon from the soda can. Hot tea make or made me feel comfortable just relaxing to watch T.V. or reading the book. I could not do that while I am on the computer. I would forget to drink the hot tea and then get cold. :ugh: I am soooo focus on my computer. Shame on me. :)

That is true sometimes your too much on spend computer reason health worth :) proper on drink proper on issues!

I just was gonna say that too!....Not only Lemons...tomatoes too! Even the lettuce...One time I ordered a Salad...and there was an "inch worm" crawling on the Letuce!....So I do not order a salad in restaurants...or even a lemon with my Tea. I worked in a few restaurants, and saw first-hand that they did not wash the tomatoes, lettuce or Lemons....

And usually, the Lemons are in a bin of sorts at the waitress station. She just picks up a Lemon and sticks it on the side of a glass...with her hands, no gloves at all.....ewwww! No thanks!
 
Eeew...restaurants in general do not handle food properly. No lemon gets the Florida Republican (voting many times) vote from me!
 
You guys should see how it is in the bars... barkeep touching all the bottles, wiping their hands on their pants and using their palm to squeeze lime in your drinks.

Nobody died from that as far as I am aware.

Maybe the alcohol sterilizes things? :dunno:
 
My friend eat the lemon peel and all when she finishes her drink. I tried it, but the peel was a bit bitter for my likng. I do enjoy having llemon with peel in my tea.
