Do you mean sweet tea as jelly jars for spread the sweet tea jelly on bread and rolls..? right?

I think Germany do have Lipton for tea bags but I am not sure. I will check at supermarket tonight. I only know that we have like this in Germany

I doubt either we have lipton tea bags and don't think we saw Luzianne tea in supermarekt because we buy herbal and black teas from herbal shop, not supermarket. I will check and let you know tonight.

Sweet tea means the sugar is added to the tea while it is hot so that it completely dissolves.

Sweetened tea means the sugar or artificial sweetener (it doesn't matter which) is added after the ice tea has cooled. The sugar or sweetener doesn't fully dissolve in the tea.

It's the process that makes the difference.

Empty glass jelly or canning jars are used for drinking the iced sweet tea. Nice thick, heavy glass jars with wide openings.

That's Lipton brand but it's not the same as their tea bags. I use the large-size tea bags made especially for iced tea.

Here's a picture of today's sun tea that I made.
 
Sweet tea is trade mark of the southern states. If you taste one, you will be hooked. Even Pizza hut do serve them in southern states. I was rather surprised but always enjoyed the taste of sweet tea. Now I live in the north and made a sweet tea. The guest added more water to water it down because it was too sweet. I said it taste just fine!

Ah, I hadn't thought about using the orange slices in the sweet tea. I should give this a try. It sounds good. Usually I'd use the lemon slices which is common.

Is it any sweeter by using the orange slices in the tea or is it a bit tangy?

I have an ice tea maker but since the weather been so warm and sunny, I use a gallon glass jug with water and lipton ice tea bags and leave it outside in the sun until it's ready... I'm crazy about sweet tea!! :drool:

South is known for it s good old fashioned sweet tea . Just practice the making perfect iced sweet tea . Southern sweet iced tea sweet perfect for hot summer's day . Try it and enjoy . My home is South Carolina . I know my son lives in Everett,WA . He alway ask me to mail some dry food . I alway ask him to send some famous coffee . ha ha

Well, I guess I know who is serving me "sweet tea" when I go visit her! :wiggle: Honestly, I always ask for unsweetened tea here in FL and then put sweet and low in them, but lately I've been hearing how artificial sweetners are bad for you and it doesn't help weight loss. So, in honor of this thread, next time I go out, I will ask for sweet tea before I move to Calif. ok,, so that way I will know what the hype is and didn't miss out on it here in the Deep South I am at for just a few more weeks.

I check Lipton and Luzianne tea bags at supermarket last Wednesday. Nope... :aw: Honestly, I prefer unsweet tea... Maybe homemade sweet tea is better than I tried ice tea? Unfortunlately I don't have any Lipton or Luzianne tea bags to follow Reba's link.

Oh I see... Your description about sweet tea sound not bad... Unfortunlately I don't have Lipton tea bags... I check last Wednesday. :( I don't mind to try any homemade things...
