stupid roommates..

My roommate currently has his ear lobes stretched to 00g. Well his new employer told him he can only have clear, see-through plugs. The local shop only has them in 5/8"g. So now to stretch his ears before Saturday, he's walking around with his and his friends keys hanging through his ear lobe's holes to stretch them.

Sorry, this is just so ridiculous, I thought I'd share.
 
Very likely. But then again. there are hundreds of kids like him in this town.

U know...I wonder what they gonna look like when he's OLDER. He will probably be able to attach brooms to his ears and sweep the floor behind him by then.

id like to see him when he's 80 years old. and see how cool he thinks it is to have holes stretched out so big that he can fit a bowling ball in them.

ewww... i wondered the same.. it'll be saggy by the time he's 50..
 
I'm starting to wonder if he realizes they'll never completely heal if he takes them out.
 
It's ironic. When guys are young, they want to stretch their lobes. When guys are elderly, they wish their lobes weren't so droopy. If the young guys just wait, their lobes will naturally stretch looonnng as they get older, without all the trouble.

:werd: I don't understand why people do it. Yes, they still look good while wearing something in those stretched out holes of theirs. However, when they take them out and leave the empty lobes hanging... it looks freaky! I've seen women go from beautiful to ugly in seconds after taking those huge earrings out. :eek:
 
For the record, I should probably stated, I do have my ears stretched to 4g, with intentions of going to 0g. I'm stopping there because 0g is pretty much the point where it cuts off, and if you go any farther, your ears will never completely heal.
 
yeah I had seen that but won't do that to my ears.. cuz it is so gross same with older people who have faded tattoos it makes it look weird on them.. so figures I wont' be surpirsed if there are any punk senior citizens roaming around on the earth by 2020 :P

Believe it or not, I know some. But you won't be likely to see any because they either 1. grow out of it or 2. die too early.

true... but I had seen one customer that had alot of tattoos and seem to be lookin good in his 60's ;) anyways depend on whoever don't take care of themselves then they die young anyways :)

Yeah, have seen quite a number of women and men sporting those huge holes in their earlobes. It's kinda kinky to me, ha.
At the same time, I try to understand the purpose for having holes larger than normal in their ears. I know there's no solid reason for having that done. :-/
 
I guess for fashion. some appearences are appealing to others, and some are not. I enjoy having smaller gauges, but ridiculously large holes I think are tacky and just make you look like Dumbo. Its just one of many trends copied from other cultures. Plugs and stretching originated in African tribes, and is a sign of beauty to them. Tattoos were copied from ancient Polynesian tribes. I guess in such a culturally diverse society, it shouldn't be surprising to see trends stolen from other cultures. I refuse to take it too far though, because of course, trends change. My ears will close up at this point, but in my friend's case, they won't, and I refuse to get a tattoo because in 10 years, it may not have the same meaning.
 
Today, at my friend's cookout, I notice the same roommate is wearing ratchets in his ears. I ask him where he got them, and he told me from the bathroom. They were the same ratchets of mine that I left in the bathroom when we were fixing the toilet. Now he's just being stupid about this, and its pissing me off.
 
Well, What makes you choose become room-mate first place? You feel not comfortable w/your room mate's looks werider or their styles...? Btw not your choice.. their own choice taste... What if your room mate dislike your style choice... Not their business and your own mind business... As long "Respect each together role for room mate peroid" No need to talk about your room mate. Are you condiser still pointing finger to your own room mate as gossip juicer? Do you care?
