Not all hearing people get those benefits. My Hubby, daughter, and son-in-law are all self-employed. When they are sick or injured, and can't work, they get nothing, zero, zip. No SSI, no unemployment, no vacation pay, no sick pay, no early retirement. I work part-time for an interpreting service, and I get paid by the hour. If I am sick or injured and can't work, I don't get paid, period. I cannot collect SSI, unemployment, etc.coloravalanche said:...
