Hey y'all,

I know you don't know him personally, but I wanted to send out a special birthday wish to my nephew. He turns five years old tomorrow. He is the man in my life, and the love of my life!

Happy birthday to my little guy!

:ily:

Aunt Shalace :)

Oh, pah. Yes he does, but since you're being yourself.....

His name is Mathew Steven. I also wanted to include a picture of him and I, but I can't access it from this computer. Will post a picture of us a bit later in later in the pic forum.

Happy Birthday Mathew! Your Auntie Shalace wanted to make it special so we shall do so! Is this another Harry Potter in the making?

Happy Birthday to the little guy who may indeed become the next Harry Potter--anyhow, hope he has a great birthday!

:birthday: :birthday: :birthday:

Aww, thank you!

And, yes...he's a Slythindor like his Aunt. (gryffindor, but a slytherin when he's ticked off  ) :)

Just recently, though. He was skeered of Harry Potter up until a few months ago. :giggle:

Eeeeek.
All kidding aside, I agree that children are simply AMAZING. They are the ones who teach us if we would but listen. Personally I do not thnk they are nuts about those Harry Potter series, hang me if I am wrong. heh
I think we are making a BIG mistake underestimating children.

:applause: Oceangurl's nephew turns 5!!!!

:birthday: to youuuuu
:birthday: to youuuuu
:birthday: to youuuuu, Mathew!!!!!!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Cute!! Happy Birthday to Mathew. Have a great brithday and make sure you says thanks you to your swee Auntie.

I eman, it just SEEMS like there are more tornadoes and more damage from other storms, more negative stuff, and the only reason is because we got more cams than before. Just because you see on the news bad stuff happening does not mean it is getting worse. It just SEEMS that way. News stations but bad stuff and I am so glad Oceanbreeze is not bad stuff.

Aww, yeah... These kids mean the world to me, and turning five is such an important milestone. At five, one *officially* leaves behind pre-school. At five, they go into Kindergarten and attend school full time (at least, where I live). At five, they are no longer babies. Makes it tough on us "grown ups", but we're only five once!

Besides which, I got tired of pissing and moaning about this and that, and decided I would post about sentimental mush instead! :)

You are right about the first part of your statement. I have learned so much from my niece and nephew, and feel as you do. We do learn alot from them. As for the Harry Potter reference, I will have digress.... :)

He's still learning. I'm thinking he'll learn "please and thank-you" by the time he is 21.

Off-topic... Around here, I'm called "Auntie Shalace"...

Go figure.

*sniffs* Why is it always those little ones that teaches us a lot about ourselves? To be young and teach the hardened older people about life, such a wonderful lesson in itself.

(sorry for offtopicing!)

You're not off topic.

It actually is true! The kids teach me so damn much about life through eyes. Everything is so simplistic to them. It's a shame it doesn't stay that way.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)
