i watch news and says teenager girl need save parking lots for her friends but woman need parking space! OH WOW and arrest that woman! but teen girl not hurt but articles says that woman got bail out but she is no longer as board of school..

That's stupid for both of woman and girl.

This teen girl shouldn't block the parking space and she can risk her life from crazy, angry customers.

The woman should know better instead of hit teen girl with her SUV and she could use horn to force girl to move.

Both the woman and the girl behaved badly. Idiots!

Agree, it's just not worth it!....Many, many times, at the shopping center(s), I've waited patiently for a customer to back out and leave a spot that was closer to the store I needed to go....and soon as they backed out...someone else zooms right in ahead of me....knowing full well I was there first...

It's rude...and of course, some rude words were exchanged!....But I've never ran anyone over because of it....:giggle:

I had something that made my day the other day. I pulled into the parking lot at work and was preparing to back into a parking spot when someone pulled up all the way forward instead of stopping at the spot behind me. As soon as I saw that, I just stopped, turned my wheel, and moved one spot over, and as I was backing up, I looked at the passenger because she was looking at me like a snob or something. I didn't see if the driver was looking at me. I saw them walk into my store and remembered what they looked like. And OH, it felt so F* good when they walked into my department after I clocked on, and I put on a big smile, asking them if I could help them. They both realized they F* up big time and just smiled back uncomfortably. I asked them again later if they found everything alright. That just feels GOOD. What is this called?

Anyway, good on the former board member being caught. I suppose the girl's mother wants to skin the B* alive now, huh? Wow, you NEVER go after children like that, because you don't know who will protect them, or how.

Well, just don't think I would have been as nice as you were to them......might have said..."How do you like the Parking at our store?"......Sort of makes them "squirm"...even say as they are about to leave..."Hey, I noticed 2 of ur tires were flat when you pulled into the parking space that I had to begin with"....

If I was this teen girl, I would probably block parking space myself. This car is not turbocharged. I would not want an ugly white SUV taking the space. Just kidding!!!

It seemed like there were other spaces in the video. What the heck is this? 2013 at its best!!!

I park further out. Enjoy the walk. Problem avoided.

Me too and get in more exercise in the day as well. Here is to a healthier lifestyle without stressing about parking lots and getting more walking distance!

I dont understand people who have the need to park as close as they can unless it is raining out . Get some exercise!

Agreed. I always shake my head at healthy adults that drive directly to the front and center parking lane, then patrol up and down, looking for a close spot. They could have parked and walked in, by the time they find their parking lot "gold."

If I have been shopping, and someone does the "signal on" routine, claiming my soon to be vacated spot, I often find something to do for several minutes, such as reorganizing my wallet, picking up trash from the floor, opening the trunk to "check for something," you name it. Fun to watch them in holding pattern, faces growing irritated.

I've never had that problem at a mall but I have experienced it at the college parking lot, which is a parking nightmare. I even had one girl get out of her car and approach me, and ask if I was leaving soon.

They also follow (stalk) people who are just walking thru the parking lot. They assume that you're headed for your car and will leave. They want to be right there when you do.

I got into the habit of not showing my keys while I walk thru, like I'm just taking a short cut. When I get to my car, if I'm not leaving right away, I look them in the eye and shake my head "no" so they'll move on.

In the college situation, it's not driver laziness; it's drive desperation. There are simply not enough parking spots on the whole campus. Security has even started allowing them to park on the grass in certain areas. The rest double park, park in "no parking" zones, and park on the public street. Still not enough parking. I have a staff parking decal and there are many times I can't find a spot either. I just keep cruising around until someone leaves. It's awful--I feel like a vulture searching for a carcass.

Same with UAB - what's worst parking ever.

I have to leave so early to find a parking but the class was about 1 hour away after found a parking. If class was 30 minutes away so the parking is always FULL. :ugh:

If I arrive at the campus before 8 a.m., no problem. After that, it's a nightmare the rest of the day. Not so bad during late night classes.

The problem is, more students arrive for the next classes before students leave from the prior classes. Their parking times overlap.

Can you believe they are building more classroom buildings but not adding more parking lots? Yikes!

Again, more reasons for me to take on-line classes.

Oh yes, UAB population had grew from 12,000 to 18,000 in 10 years so our university president want grow to 30,000 within 10 years, so I was like no way.

They shrank a lot of parking lots as build more classrooms.

If I was student at university in CA, especially ULCA or CSUN, I will rather to take a bus than hunting for parking with waste a lot of gas due roaming, congestion and idling. Find parking in those universities are very scarce. :eek3:

Many of our students take the bus but it's still not enough. :(

Wow, that's opposite for UAB because public transportation (bus) in Birmingham is terrible and you can be late for class so easily because timing and schedule are doubtful, so most students use private vehicle or carpool to get to university.

i read someone did that here last week but cause the victim internal injuries and broken bones

Time to fire up the Vespa.

There are lots of scooters and motorcycles in the parking lot. Hubby has a motorcycle that he sometimes rides to school but I drive a Jeep. :giggle:
