I said, "might." Whether I believe or not is moot.
Yeah, yeah. You're doing it now.

Sure, we may agree on somethings, yet the focus is on me and how I opine.
After all, you were the one that brought this new "evidence" to the thread. I didn't see anyone else claiming that Palin was giving us all a history lesson.
It ain't the messenger, it's the message. Get it?
Yeah, yeah. You're doing it now.![]()
If Saint Nicholas never existed, we wouldn't have the so-called kiddies' version. He had to come from somewhere, he didn't just appear out of thin air.![]()

Why quibble? She was spending time with her family. She said her quick piece. They called on her. Now they have eggs on their faces. End of story.

So, when you said "I can see Russia from my backyard" meant that everybody in AD already knew that Palin did not say that at all and that quote is attributed to Tina Fey who said that? And it's an obvious "satire"? Or are you really saying you actually believed Palin said that in the beginning? At least the story has been corrected so others wouldn't be misled by that quote.

Come on, Koko. What was the statement that Palin made that led to the satirical statement by Fey. Surely you realize all satire is built on reality?![]()

That's a good one! I should do a google on Tina Fey and see if I can come up with sublited vids of her. I read an interview about her in Vogue once and she came across as a very funny lady.
Apparently Fox can't tell Palin and Fey apart.![]()

Finally!!!! You said it was her intent (as opposed to "She was accurate"). Alright well, I'm done with this, then. I simply disagree with you. I understand that she just came out of the museum/house so it should be "fresh in her memory" but I personally think it was information overload and she got details mixed up. It's that simple.
It doesn't affect my view on her or anything. I'd do the same for some (not all) of the gaffes she makes. Her gaffes? They don't make me think any less of her. My views of her have always been negative.
Wow! Palin was visiting the museum/house and then was asked about Paul's ride. She was not able to the question in a complete sentence , I think the way she answered the reporter made it looked like she had no idea what she was talking about! She need to take some public speaking lessons and learn how to answer questions intelligently! If that is possible !!
And lose her "folksy charm and appeal"? I don't think there's any way for her to improve her image, really.
If I had spoke that way in school my teachers would really thought I was retarded ! I do not find anything charming about her! I can't believe people think she is folksy and appealing! Can you see her at World Summit talking like that! I do not want my country to be represented by someone that sound they lived in the back woods all their life and never stepped into a school!

You mean like Clinton? Carter? LBJ?
Don't forget Dubya, too. (I don't remember any presidents further back than Clinton, so I can't comment on them.)
I ain't gotta bring up no dubya..... I reckon everybody done knows about him
