You mean like Clinton? Carter? LBJ?
I think any of them would be a preference to Palin - even LBJ.

Don't forget Dubya, too. (I don't remember any presidents further back than Clinton, so I can't comment on them.)

Don't worry, she's got a solid spot in the media because every cable news station has ADD and our country has got a serious case of schaudenfreude, but she wouldn't ever get elected, and it's highly unlikely she'd even get the Republican nomination.
If she does not like people making jokes about her she should not be in the public eye! It come with the territory and she better get use to it if she does decide to run for an office! You can bet your life on it that she will say something again that will have people talking. She is good for a few laughs!See, here is where Palin made her mistake...again!
Everyone that is in the public eye has, at one time or another, messed up when asked a question. It goes with the territory. People are caught off guard, what ever. No big deal.
But, noooooo. Palin can't just go, "Hey, what I meant to say was......but I was thinking about getting my kid some ice cream and I misspoke." NOOOOO......she has to go on Fox News and try to make it sound like she didn't f*** up to start with. Can't just admit to being human and making a gaffe. She thinks the American public is so stupid that she can spew out some kind of double talk and smile for the cameras a couple of times, and people will actually buy it.
And evidently, there are a couple around here that did.![]()
So is Obama. Sadly, tho.

Yeah, she's cannon fodder for comedians.

New to site...bear with me. I used to live in Bedford Mass, between Lexington and Concord many years ago and seem to recall a monument along the road showing where Paul Revere was captured. I also recall the monument stated Paul Revere was an alcoholic and was very drunk when he got caught. The British didn't know what to do with him when they caught him so they let him go, minus his horse. Does anyone else out there remember seeing this monument? This wasn't written in the school books of my day but it seems fascinating that so many people don't recall what really happened with him.
